We've been coming to Pitcher Pond for almost 40 years. Despite its name, it's a lake but a relatively small one (two miles long, a few hundred yards wide) and since it is hidden from the road, many people drive right by without noticing it. Great relaxing with nature. You can fish here, but won't catch too much. Bring your canoe!

Every time we go here, we wonder where everyone is. We even tried visiting on Fourth of July weekend and still it was quiet. We love to kayak over into the little alcove and play with the friendly frogs. The call of the loon is another attraction. Quiet serenity.

Pitcher pond is about 20 minutes from Camden but a world away. Nearly half of the three mile long lake is undeveloped. There is little boat traffic except on weekends during the summer. The lake is surrounded by woods and gives a sense of seclusion even though it is only a few minutes from Camden and Belfast. There is hiking... More
