Outstanding college

Beautiful campus with excellent academics. World class scholarship and great alumni network. Men's rugby won the Maine cup this year and is worth following.

Bowdoin is a very nice school with a beautiful campus and facilities. The dining hall food here is remarkably good for a university. Whenever we visited our daughter we would enjoy walking along main st. and trying out many of the different restaurants. The Freeport shopping outlets and LL Bean are also a short drive away.

Drove up to Brunswick during a fall weekend before Thanksgiving. The last of the college visits for this year. The campus tour was informative and enjoyable. At first glance, she thought the school was too small to consider. However, they sent a beautiful book and the pictures of the campus draw you in. Our visit cemented her decision to apply... More

My friend and I took a drive up to Bruncwick and we took a walk through Bowdoin's campus. Between the fall foliage and the historical architecture it was a pleasant sight. You've gotta love all the gates and staues around campus that were given by different graduating classes. I also particularly liked the memorial to the war dead. To our... More

lovely architecture and layout, interesting history. If you are a history buff, do not miss touring the Joshua Lawrence Chamberlin House.

It's not one of the ivy leagues schools, but very prestigious in its own right, suburban setting, a more than 200 acres of campus size in a coastal New England town of Brunswick.

The lovely campus of Bowdoin College is really the centerpiece of Brunswick, which is itself one of the most charming small cities we have ever visited. The college is not only a physically beautiful venue for walking and picture-taking, it is also vibrant and alive as the cultural and intellectual center of the region.

We first saw Bowdoin on a family trip to Maine, when our daughters were very young. The history and lovely campus was worth the stop. We have several friends who worked there in summer stock. When our daughters were accepted there for college we were thrilled and have spent some of the happiest days of the last four years (early... More

The Bowdoin campus is small and beautiful. The architecture is so New England; you won't question what part of the country you're in. The campus also has a very nice art museum. Very managable. Good exhibits.
