From HOWRAH station, you have to go by a local KATWA LINE-train and as NABADWIPDHAM station comes, you get down or you may get down in BISHNUPRIYA station, just after Nabadwipdham and take a rikshaw up to the GANGES GHAT.There you will find ferry-availing-ticket-counters and paying INRs.2/- only, you sit in the boat and then you will be moved to see two, yellow and green... Best place to visit Mayapur as there are no multiple choice in Nadia. There are many temples around including Iskon. The Navadwip Dham is also closeby on the other bank of the river. Nice place to visit with your family and relatives.

I started from Kolkata in the morning. It took quite some time for wading through the traffic as we crossed the Kolkata City to its northern part. We had sumptuous lunch at Krishnanagar followed by famous Sarbhaja and Sarpuriya sweets. The road condition has improved in May 2014 compared to the what it was in September 2013. It may be... More

Religious tourism is a thriving sector and India being a land of spirituality has a lot of places for the same. The ISKCON Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Temple at Mayapur is certainly one of those places conceived and constructed in recent times which has the popularity and atmosphere of a great place to visit and worship. The temple architecture is simple,... More

I went through several reviews available in this website before visiting Mayapur. As this was my first journey to Mayapur along with my family on car, I relied on information available on this website and other internet sites. We started our journey on sunny summer morning. Left home at 8:00AM. Crossed Barasat and reached Helabattala Crossing after about an hour.... More

Felt hurt to see the condition of the temple and surrounding near by. Absolute mess on the walking way towards the temple. The village too is in bad condition. Some restriction are kept at entry gate. Indians and people of foreign nationalist have become a part of this organisation in large scale since year. Good to see spirituality all over... More

The Temple architecture is nothing impressive. The Mayapur village is also pathetic and dirty. You won't find any peaceful/devotional environment. There is heavy commercialization and heavy rush. There is nothing else to see nearby. No Scenic beauty too. The onlyreasin to visit this place is if you are a devotee of the hare krishna movement.

So many lovely things to say about Sridham Mayapur. Prasadam (veg food) is excellent. The early morning mangal aarti is surreal. The entire Compound or Iskcon Mayapur premises is brimming with only spirituality & no outside materialism is allowed in with a lot of restrictions. Doing yoga during dawn time in the greens is reinvigorating to say the least. The... More

A place to go back to- if you seek peace, if you seek answers to various questions is life,if you seek happiness and overall if you seek the darshan of their Lordships Shri Radha Madhava and the Astasakhis, then beside the holy Ganga, this serene place is where you should be.
