The Boothbay Opera House is a gem. Built some 120 years ago it was a Knights of Pythias hall and a while back was going to be demolished but was saved by community residents who saw the value of this music hall. We went to see the U.S. Air Force Brass band perform this weekend. It was an inspiring concert... More

We visited to hear a Celtic music concert. The small size of the venue (under 200 people, I think) means there are no bad seats. During our visit, other concert-goers were friendly, the atmosphere casual. Wine and beer were for sale and the audience area was set bistro style. I'd be happy to visit again.

I was here for a couple of the Christmas celebrations and was very impressed with how beautifully it was decorated. The events (Festival of Trees, and The Gingerbread Spectacular) were completely charming!

This is a spectacular venue for an intimate concert. The Opera House often has well-known acts performing. I would highly recommend this opportunity to see your favorite band or performer...or take in something new!

The updates were obvious to this classic old theatre. I enjoyed the balcony seats. Charming. Refreshments were available as well. Acoustics very good.

If you happen to be in Boothbay Harbor in time for one of the Opera House's program consider your self lucky. I recently attended the Kathy Mattea concert and it was outstanding. The acoustics In the Opera House made this wonderful concert excellent. She sang to a full house and had everyone on their feet by the end of the... More

I recently attended a concert at The Opera House in Boothbay Harbor,Maine. Ben Taylor gave a beautiful intimate session in this historic building. The staff was friendly and the building simply stunning. I enjoyed a tour before and during intermission. Acoustics were great and the line up of shows were diverse. A must see!

We attended a fabulously fun night of Louisiana Zydeco with Jeffery Broussard and the Creole Cowboys. They opened the main floor for dancing and there was ample seating on the floor and balcony. This place is an absolute gem from a bygone era. Highly recommend checking the schedule for a wide range of genres from Folk to Jazz etc. The... More

The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor is a comfortable place to spend an evening being entertained by musical acts representing a variety of genres. A recent visit to see and listen to Noel Paul Stookey (formerly with Peter, Paul and Mary) was entertaining, relaxful and generally enjoyable. Arriving about an hour prior to the 8 p.m. performance, we waited in... More
