Come sailing on Maine's last sailing wooden lobsterboat, the Sarah Mead! We will catch wind, laughter and maybe some lobster on your trip (it's called fishing for a reason). Seals, porpoise, lighthouses and other magnificent vessels around Boothbay Harbor are also typically visible.

Sail Muscongus are gracious, experienced, personable, funny and let me tell you our crowd was animates, totally fun to be with. The fog that permeated the harbor on our tour did not dampen the experience one bit. Value for money, totally. Unique experience, definitely. Repeatable, absolutely!

The crew was fantastic, kept us informed and entertained. Enjoyed watching our friend get to hold a lobster! Even on a foggy day we got to enjoy the harbor and help raise the sails.

Nate was great at story teller and kept us entertained the whole time! It was a bit foggy but we had such a great time that the weather just didn't matter. I would recommend this cruise to anyone as it was kid and adult friendly.

Father and son duo, Captains Randy and Nate, run this terrific operation out of Spruce Point Inn. If you are hesitating for even a second to book this cruise, you should just go ahead and book the cruise. The value is amazing for an almost private cruise. Why would you prefer a large-scale operation with dozens of people when you... More

Over Labor Day weekend, our group of 6 friends booked the Sarah Meade for a two hour sail out of Spruce Point Inn. We had a great time with Captain Nate and his mate Kelsey. Nate was a fantastic 'guide' and you could tell he was able to adjust the tour of the bay to fit our group. It was... More

Over Labor Day weekend, I booked all the spots on one trip to have a special afternoon sail with family, including my 86 year old father. (The private booking gave us the flexibility to come back to shore if needed!) Nate and Randy were SO helpful getting my Dad in and out of the boat. They kept the sail ride... More

We were staying at the Spruce Point Inn in Boothbay Harbor and decided to take a two hour sail on the Sarah Mead with Captain Nate. A very nice sail withe another couple and their child. Because the boat is so small you really feel like it's individualized to you. We got to see the lobster sail boat pull up... More

We sailed on the Sarah Mead, a friendship sloop with my husband, 2 kids 8 & 9 and sister in the heavy fog. What might have been a tough sail was so much fun. Captain Randy and Captain Nate were very knowledgeable and entertaining. They showed my kids how to pull up a lobster trap and size lobsters, telling funny... More

We enjoyed this very laid back sail around Squirrel Island. Nate told us all kinds of interesting facts about the area. We found the lobstering very interesting and would highly recommend this perfectly priced quick little tour.

The boat allows for 6 guests. On the day we went only our family of 4 had reservations. We had a great time and Captain Nate gave us a great tour and pointed out a numerous historical and new sights along the way. We even caught a lobster. No problem parking anywhere at Spruce Point Inn. They were very friendly.... More
