This schooner is an absolute gem. Meticulous from stem to stern. Captain Shaun and his mate really know how to show you the best of Boothbay Harbor at sunset!

What a great experience this was! Number 1: a wooden sailboat - just a spectacular graceful boat. This is where the term "smooth sailing" comes from. You simply glide across the water in this boat. The Captain and first mate (Bob) were personable and obviously love what they do. They were full of historical facts, stories, knowledge about the area... More

We went on an afternoon sail. I had never been on a sailboat or schooner before so this was a true treat for me. We had a beautiful day and once we were underway the crew asked for volunteers to help raise the sails. I happily volunteered along with 5 others and we had to work hard to get the... More

Shaun and Jerry were awesome tour guides (and good sports too) on this beautiful wooden schooner. They even surprised us with lovely sailing weather. It was a great day with 15 wonderful women gathered in Maine to celebrate a 50th birthday. We had a spectacular tour of the bay that included a great history lesson too. The couple from St.... More

It was a glorious Maine day, with sails full and seas smooth - a wonderful trip! Captain Shaun and his mate gave us good info about the schooner, and about the surrounding area. Some of us actually got to be behind the wheel and guide us around the harbor.

Setting off on a pleasant afternoon seated on foam cushions on the deck we were looking forward to an enjoyable sail and the possibility of sighting some marine animals. Once away from the Harbor the wind increased and attempts were made to put up the sails, not easy with just the captain and only one crew member, so we the... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry you received the impression that you were obligated to help out and will talk with our captains about the rope coil report. No one is obligated to assist in any way as our crew are trained and able to sail the vessel by themselves. However, at the captain's discretion and depending on... More

Great day sail with just the right amount of passengers. The Captain and First Mate had extensive knowledge of the area and happily shared their expertise and "tall tales" with us! The boat Eastwind is gorgeous and kept in pristine condition. A wonderful way to spend time on the water in Boothbay! Good luck at Bates College Carter!

Theres not a better way to end the day! We had a sunset cruise, everyone had wine, cheese, bread, etc. We sailed at 6pm, our Captain took us through the harbor, we learned some history, saw beautiful shorelines, houses and captured one of the most spectacular sunsets of all. I highly recommend this for anyone, all ages will enjoy this... More
