Enjoyed a two-hour afternoon cruise around Boothbay Harbor with family. Crew was informative and pleasant, the sail (even with a lull in the breeze requiring the engine) relaxing, and the view amazing (including a very photogenic seal that watched us from the water).

Our trip on the Eastwind was booked by wonderful Cindy at the ticket booth, which got us off to a good start before we even got to the ship. This schooner is absolutely gorgeous! Sean, the captain, was so very welcoming & obviously experienced. Jerry, the crew, was informative & told some super stories. We loved our trip & hope... More

Loved this sail experience. Beautiful boat and friendly and informative crew. They discussed history, wildlife (we saw dolphins, eagles, and a quick glimpse of a seal) and sailboats. They were also very patient with the little ones on board. Great afternoon.

The captain, mate, and woman at the information desk were all wonderful. We felt cared for, relaxed, and comfortable, and our safety was clearly their first priority. Our journey was for a wedding at sea, and the captain was helpful in picking the right spot to stop and enjoy some gentle water. The boat is is obviously well maintained. Our... More

Captain William Maguire and First Mate Bob were a professional crew who helped us have a great trip on a beautiful sail boat. We were amazed at the beauty of the boat and the harbor. It was truly relaxing.

I chose Eastwind over others because another trip advisor review said that the narrator gave interesting history of what we were seeing. True. The history was intriguing and the sights and sounds of wind and water, and the full sails were exhilarating. Captain William and 1st mate Bob were busy adjusting to the changing wind conditions and seeing all they... More

My first time on a sailboat was with Eastwind and it was everything I imagined. The ride was smooth, peaceful and such a joy that I wanted to stay on all day long. Carter set sails and was wonderful and so very knowledgable for such a young man.

Went on the first sail of the day and my family had the boat to ourselves. The three man crew was very friendly and informative about all the sights we viewed while sailing. We helped raise the sails for some personal involvement and simply enjoyed the beautiful day and couple of hours on the water.

I've always wanted to take a sailboat ride and cross this off my bucket list! It was a smooth sail with the excitement of seeing a seal & two lighthouses. Thank you to Bob Howard, the crewmate. Informative, good humor, and strong as an ox pulling those sail ropes for a man his age. A good asset to the trip.... More

We sailed on the Eastwind on a beautiful June afternoon. Captain Gil and Doris Smith were delightful hosts who took us on a tour of Boothbay Harbor. We had plenty of wind for smooth sailing. We were gliding through the water with only the sound of the wind in our sails. The Eastwind is a "must do" when in the... More
