Ask me if I think you should take a sail on the Schooner Lazy Jack and I'll respond with a hearty, "Aye, aye!" We've enjoyed three outings on the Lazy Jack so far, and next time we vacation in Boothbay Harbor, ME, we will be sure to go again. The Schooner Lazy Jack is the oldest boat in the harbor,... More

We had a wonderful time on the Lazy Jack. I've done several other sailing trips in Boothbay Harbor, but this was the by far the best. Captain Joe was great - very friendly. It was just like having a friend take us sailing for the afternoon. I can't wait to go again!

We didn't have much wind but that didn't matter- it was a delightful trip and the captain and his son were very pleasant! I appreciated the light heartedness of their style- this is not a boat to go on and have rocks pointed out to you- if you have a question they are happy to answer but it's a more... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our sail around Boothbay Harbor aboard the Lazy Jack. She is a beautiful old boat that is well maintained. Skipper Joe and First Mate Mike (Joe's son) were a great team and provided a lot of interesting information about the shore sights we saw and the area in general. A nice way to get a feel for... Thanks to Captain Joe and his first mate Nate for making this sail such a memorable one. Even though I was apprehensive having never been on a sailboat, the experience was perfect. Tips about bringing your camera are right on because the scenery is beautiful. We also suggest stopping at Capers for a sandwich and wine to bring along...best roast... More

We took the 3pm sailing trip and enjoyed it very much. We saw harbor seals and a porpoise! We would go again.

I'm not in the habit of writing online reviews for tripadvisor or Yelp!, but I couldn't pass on the opportunity to tout this as one of the best experiences we had on our coastal Maine vacation. I've sailed on several other occasions, and this one is by far one of the best experiences. Captain Joe and his first mate Nate... More

The first two-hour sail was so enjoyable I immediately booked a second sail and was lucky enough to find a seat. It was a beautiful experience and I have 200+ photos to prove it. Bring you camera. So much to see! The first go-round was with a newly married couple enjoying a good bottle of wine. It was relaxed and... More

A sunset sail aboard the Lazy Jack was a perfect gift - no wrapping, no transporting, no color or size selection - just a peaceful 2 hour sail with a great captain and first mate (Joe and Mike) and good conversation. What could be better? Answer - nothing. I highly recommend the sail for a vacation attraction or a local... More
