A slow scenic boat ride on the Bennie Alice to a family owned island. As the boat turned in, we could see the clambake being prepared. Greeted by the 94 year old matriarch Bennie Alice, we were helped by Moore family sons, grandsons and granddaughters--all of whom were super friendly and efficient. What a meal--clam chowdah (sp),two delicious Maine lobsters,... More

This is a marvelous experience to have while in Maine. The boat tour is nice, but the real fun is when you get to the island. The Moore family greets you....including Bennie Alice, the 94 year old matriarch. There are picnic tables set up all around the yard, but you can also eat inside the house. The dinner includes clam... More

Nice harbor cruise out to an island. The meal is almost worth the price by itself. Chowder, bucket of baked clams, two lobster, corn, potatoes, and a big piece of blueberry cake. Wow.

After reading the positive trip reviews, we purchased our tickets and set out on this adventure. The boat takes you on a leisurely tour towards Cabbage Island. We were introduced to Ram Island, Mouse Island and numerous other little islands, all with their own stories and history. It was difficult to hear the captain at times, but we were enjoying... More

Terrific family event as an introduction to Boothbay Harbor - a boat tour combined with an extremely well done lobster dinner. The location is postcard perfect and the food was very well prepared (perfectly steamed lobster and clams, tender corn, and delicious blueberry cake). Service was efficient and friendly. No one left the dock unhappy. We will definitely make this... More

If you are ever in Boothbay Harbor, this is one attraction that is a must! About an hour long boat ride with narration of the historical areas along the way, as well as the scenery. It is a double deck boat, and recommend the upper deck. Once at Cabbage Island, you can walk around see the Island. When the bell... More

We've been many years and it is consistently a great time. It's a full Maine experience--relaxing boat ride, rocky coastline, beautiful vistas, and an enormous dinner. Staff and family very friendly.

This an event - clambake plus a boat tour of Boothbay Harbor. Food served out on picnic tables and there is a covered area with tables also to shelter from the sun, or in event of rain. Service was excellent. Staff very attentive to needs and making sure you were having a good time. Clambake is prepared on island the... More

This was recommended to us by local folk, who live nearly 3 hours away, yet take all their visitors there. So we thought, "why not?" What a great experience!! This is truly a family operation - the family has hired only the best of the best to help out, and everyone we encountered (from the person on the phone, to... More

On a trip to Boothbay Harbor, I went with a group of friends out to the Cabbage Island Clambake. There was a long line for the 12:30 PM cruise boat named Bennie Alice that leaves from the dock on Commercial Street adjacent to the Fisherman’s Wharf Inn. Once the boarding process started, the line moved quickly. The cruise was very... More
