Our visit to the Cabbage Island Clambake was the highlight of our trip to Maine. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing. The food was both plentiful and delicious. We had lobsters, clams, corn on the cob, potatoes, blueberry cake, all washed down with Sam Adams Boston Lager. It was interesting to see everything being cooked over the open fire.... More

I loved sailing around Cabbage Island and looking at the Osprey nest to see how many babies were born each year. I disliked the boat from the Clam bake making a huge wake that rocked the sailboat.

Hubby and I did the Cabbage Island Clambake and it was fantastic. Very well coordinated and the boat ride there is a plus also. The only down side is that walk up the hill from the boat landing dock. Anyone who is handicapped or has problems climbing a hill might not be able to enjoy this trip...too bad. And no... More

This is the best Maine double attraction in the mid-coast! First...You get aboard a very well maintained ferry in Boothbay Harbor surrounded by all the history....Old tug boat turned into a restaurant,a very old ship yard that caters to the large sailboat trade, and of course, the ever present lobster boats plying its trade...Anyway...You head out for a very nice one hour... Lots of fun to take the ferry ride out to Cabbage Island for the lobster feast. I've done this a number of times over the years and it has always been a great adventure. The meal is huge -- steamers, lobsters (or chicken, if you prefer), corn on the cob, potato, egg, blueberry cake -- and very tasty. It's not... More

This is a must-do while in Boothbay Harbor. Reservations may be required in peak summer time. They do not take credit cards---cash or check. The dinner on Cabbage Island includes a scenic boat ride around Ram Island Lighthouse. That is a nice feature. When you get on the island take a walk down to the cooking area, where you will... More

Loved this trip!! The food was so good. Twin Lobster and so much more to eat.. Wow....I was so satisfied. The boat ride was beautiful, and the Island they took you too was so pretty and serene. I would do this again in a minute. Absolutely loved it.

This was a fabulous day trip. Great boat ride and so much good food! Not just one lobster, but two, plus clams, corn, fish chowder, potatoes and great blueberry cake. Oh, I can't forget the hard spoiled egg, who knew why...... We will definitely be back next year. The staff were above and beyond friendly. This is a must when... More

Great boat ride from Boothbay Harbor to Cabbage Island. Wonderful meal of steamed twin lobsters, clams, baked potato, corn on the cob and blueberry cake. For those that don't eat lobster there is 1/2 roasted chicken. A fun afternoon in Boothbay, Maine.
