The City Park offers a swimming pool and a playground nearby, tennis courts, a baseball diamond, picnic areas, a small cafe, plenty of trees, grassy areas, and some paths, access to a stony beach with views of Belfast Harbor, the Penobscot Bay, and Isleboro. The swimming pool has lifeguards, changing rooms, and bathrooms. The playground has equipment for both small... More

Fun place to walk the shore and take in the sights and look for 'ocean finds'. Not too crowded, clean and well kept.

This park is great for a little stroll. There are usually a few boats docked and it's such a gorgeous scene at sunset. I will include a photo just before sunset on June 14, 2015.

My 8 year old grandson absolutely loves this park. There is an in-ground pool that we've never used as we prefer to swim in the ocean. The play area has a wide assortment of playground equipment which keeps him busy for a very long time. He'll only leave when I make him leave - wouldn't do it on his own.... More

My wife and I have been to the park in summer and fall with our grandchildren. They loved being able to play on the shore as well as at the playground. There's plenty of space for walking. In the warmer weather the park has a pool, tennis and basketball courts and horseshoes. Nice picnic spots too.

Such a gem in Belfast. Ample parking, BBQ and super fun playground with amazing slides, swings and places to climb. Even a swimming pool in the summer. Too much fun!

during these tough economic times it is difficult for small towns to find the funds for the "extras" in their community. However, Belfast has chosen to develop several parks and one of the best is the Belfast City Park. Clean bathrooms, perfect view of Belfast Harbor, safe play areas for supervised children, adequate parking, and generally a very nice area... More

Great place for the kids and nice viewing of the harbor. Nice parking area and picnic spots. Catch it while it's still open!
