I figure if they put it on the quarter for Maine it is worth seeing. You can get up close if you go west out of the parking lot but the best view is if you go east and climb on the rocks a little.

Smaller than expected but an up close look at the house / light. The path is best to left of the house to view house from rocks.

This lighthouse is occupied so you cannot see inside. The path is steep and ends in an uneven walkway so be careful but the views are beautiful and it's a nice getaway for those who love lighthouses.

Very beautiful spot. Very happy we visited. Very much wish it wasn't raining. Limited visibility. Didn't really read all materials as it wad raining. Happy we did not miss it though.

Heading up to Maine in the off season can be a bit of a crapshoot, but we were lucky in that the roads and trails were clear. The light house was, of course, closed, but that doesn't mean you can't still wander around the area. There's a bit of a trail that leads away from the lighthouse and you can... More

Gorgeous views- however you have a cut off view of the water from the land because of fences. Definitely worth the stop! Very accessible as well for those who can't walk far.

This was hard to get to to see the lighthouse. Stairs down to rocky area and then climbing on the rocks to see the lighthouse.

Can view the lighthouse from two locations - one via a paved path and one via a climb down some steps and across some rocks. Great view.

Impressive, white tower, holding the beacon. Situated on rock outcropping with rushing waves, crashing on the rocks below the grounds of the lighthouse. We were not charged to enter the parking lot, managed by the US Coast Guard. The vegetation was thick, green and with hundreds of wild flowers. There was a gravestone with the name of a Coast Guardsman... More

A good stairway takes you to as picturesque a setting as you can find. No matter what the weather, it's worth a stop and see. Your pictures will help your memory linger.
