We had a great time on this swamp tour. Quiet boat, unlike the noisy boats you sometimes see around. The captain is a real local and provides the his own anecdotes. We saw plenty of gators and some of the larger birds. Great way to see the swamps and spend two hours

Myself, my wife, and 3yo boy all had a wonderful time. We learned a lot about the swamp and the animals in it. Saw plenty of gators, and other wildlife as well. You can tell James has plenty of first hand experience. He seems like a pretty honest guy too, and that's a rarity when it comes to tourist attractions... More

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Captain James had an obvious love for the bayou and it's critters :) and knew so much about it's nature and wildlife. Very informative and very friendly captain. The group was small and therefor it was very intimate and very relaxing. We saw plenty of gators, who James fed marshmallows :) This... More

I've been on 2 boat swamp tours. Cajun Critters was the one I liked the best. James was very informative. He is also very genuine. Even though I am from the area, I still learned a few things. It's easy to find and not too far from New Orleans, maybe 15-20 minutes.

we went in early april and even though it had been very warm for april, apparently the big gators don't come out until later in the season...we saw 3 small "baby" gators...the wild pigs were much more interesting to see in the wild captain was very entertaining and was overall a fun expeience

If you want to see gators.. this place if for you! They raise and feed them so they are trained to come to the boats. Nice guides, good ecological information. Not much else to view other than gators!

Captain James was a wealth of information about the swamp. Despite cool temperatures and few gators, he made the tour very entertaining and informative. There is much to learn about what is going on out there in the backwaters of Louisiana. Cajun Critters Swamp Tours is a good way to learn more about it and experience something different so close... We stopped off en route to Natchez and went out on a slow boat (with 150hp outboard!) Tour was 1:45hr and we saw a couple of young gators, hogs. Herons, egret and raccoon. Best sightings of gators is when it's warmer! Nice informative tour

This was a lot of fun. They were very friendly and they had a great sense of humor. They let us hold a small alligator. The ride was awesome.
