Spent a morning browsing the shops in the Antique District. All the shop owners were friendly and interesting. Only bought 3 items but all were unique.

We visited three Antique Shops in the Historic Antique District. Briefly... Magnolia House... Lots of old stuff Barbara's Victorian Closet... better stuff than Magnolia The nicest, with best display was in a house on First Street, nice selection of civil war items as well as other nicely displayed items.

All though this is a no brainer.... the city needs to clean this area up. Every city tries to cling onto their olde towne districts as a means to relive the slow paced lifestyles of times gone by. Door to door shopping, a bed and breakfast, boutique hotels, a yummy bakery, an open air marketplace or produce stand, local cafe... More

The Slidell Historic Antique District is the Northshore's best kept secret. The friendly shop keepers offer a variety of things from yesteryears.

Location is many blocks long with antique stores. Every Saturday there is a farmers market with fresh produce, etc. In the spring and fall there is a weekend street fair with vendors selling there wares and some pretty good grub, too.

I have a chance to go there for work and travel program which I have 3 months to check around the town. This place is one of my favorite place to hang out when I want to escape from other people. It is interesting to see what is happened in the past until present.

From the museums to the parks, restaurants and bars there's much fun to be had in Old Town. Many local owned businesses.

What a waste of frickin time. There were only 3 shops and they were all junk. Junk junk junk. Don't waste your time. The only good thing about Slidell is the Baskin Robbins.

There really weren't many stores, and they were very small. I really didn't see old toys which is what I was looking for.

It's easy to miss the area. We did discover a farmers market in the area which was very enjoyable! We were here on Saturday morning and I would recommend a stop by. They also have a water bowl out for dogs who visit with their humans - very nice touch.
