We were turned away from another swamp tour because we didn't have reservations and decided to try PRET. We were greeted by a friendly guy and the wife of a guide. Both told stories and chatted with ease. Next came MURPHY! A huge, ginormous love bug of a dog. Scratch his ears. Captain Bryan was fantastic. He said his brain... More

We drove out in our rental car and had no problem finding the place. We paid extra for the 6 person tour and we think it was worth it. In the small boat it was easy to get close to the wildlife and the guide stopped every time he saw something interesting. We found the guide very informative and interesting.... More

Took a quick trip over from Abita Springs on a cloudy, cool day. We went out with the guide, John who grew up in the area and was very knowledgeable about swamp life. We certainly did see numerous variety of wildlife , gators, huge birds, raccoon and best of all the wild pigs. We do have swamps back in Wisconsin,... More

We were picked up for this tour in a mini bus from our hotel in New Orleans and were lucky enough to get taken by Captain John in a smaller boat. What a lovely experience! this gentleman has lived in this area all his life and is incredibly knowledgeable about the eco-system and wildlife. We were out for approximately 2... More

For the price of $25 we had low expectations for this tour. However, we were blown out of the water (no pun intended)! Trey, our guide, was a local who grew up in the area and had so much background knowledge about the environment and the people. We saw alligators, fish, turtles, snakes, raccoon, pigs, egrets and cranes- oh my!... More

Saw 2 alligators, but not season for "big guys". Saw many egrets, but the best part were the Feral Hybrid Pigs! Our guide John was wonderful, very knowledgeable about ecosystem and history of the area.

We chose this tour as we wanted to visit Honey Swamp (a NOLA tour guide told us this swamp was good visit as they also have river homes and the boats speed up and make it fun for kids) and they weren't advertised in all the hotels. Very easy to drive to. Learnt a lot about the habitat and saw... More

We chose to tour the swamp on the small boat and it was well worth it. Captain Brian was knowledgeable in many aspects of the swamp. The small boat took us to areas that were narrower and shallower than where the larger boats could not get to. We found 3 gators sunning themselves near the water's edge and a few... More

We took a tour with Captain John and it was great! He was very informative and we got to see an alligator ( it was their dormant time) and wild boar, a racoon, snake, & a river otter! They picked us up at our hotel and took us to the location and then the river tour! We really enjoyed it... More

This was by far the best fun and informative trip I've gotten to experience. I've been to Ireland, Britain, Scotland, and other out've country trips but this tops them as far as hospitable, well informed, and talented captains who gave us the tour while teaching us everything about the environment and wildlife that inhabited it. We were fortunate to enjoy... More
