Description: Picture the moss hanging on gnarled cypress trees as you travel into one...
Picture the moss hanging on gnarled cypress trees as you travel into one of the wildest and most pristine river swamps in America. With the swamp tales of pirates and sightings of Big Foot in the back of your mind, you may be just a little bit nervous at first, but after your first boat ride you'll want to go back again and again! You'll be overcome by the primitive beauty of the cypress trees rising from the water...the sweet smell of wild azaleas in the air....

This is one of the best swamp tours out there. We tried one other one on an Airboat and it was fantastic as well, this one is a little slower-paced, but not by much! The boat is bigger, for one thing. Think of the boat on the Jungle Boat ride at Disneyland, and that's the type of boat it is.... More

Captain Jack and Charlie are great guides and funny. A great tour that everyone visiting New Orleans should go to.

Saw lots of animals. Wild pigs, alligators, birds. Swamp iris were blooming, beautiful. Our guide "Gator Dave" ruined the trip after telling us that he would feed gators off both sides of the boat so that everyone could have photo ops. He then proceeded to feed gators off of only one side, many times. When a woman at the front... More

This was the best swamp tour I've ever been on! It was so amazing and I saw a ton of alligators! There were a lot of other animals, too. My favorite part was seeing the pigs! I love pigs! I say again, that tour was amazing!

Rene' Dupres, our fantastic guide, took us on a two hour tour to explore the swamp and its residents. Honey Island was named by pirates but we were safe and did not encounter any pirates. I was thrilled to have shared this experience with my adult daughter, Renee'. The price is reasonable for the experience. If we ever have the... More

Bus driver to pick us up wasn't the most pleasant, but everything else was awesome. Our tour guide, Brian, was great. Obviously has knowledge of the area and wants to share it. Answered questions about plants, animals, and the area very well! We saw a few types of animals--no gators due to the cold but we saw a bunch of... More

We took a tour in the off season knowing it would be rare to see a gator. We did however get to see wild pigs and our guide was super amusing. The best part of the tour was getting a glimpse into the life of someone that grew up in the swamp.

Beautiful 2 hr tour of the Pearl River and nearby bayou. Staff is super friendly and accommodating to all ages. The guides spotted wildlife hidden in spots so camouflaged we would have not seen. We saw alligators, osprey, blue heron, a diamond back rattle snake, lots of turtles and one other non venomous snake. The wild pigs put on a... More

I took my family to New Orleans for spring break, we heard about this swamp tour so we decided to check it out. I must say that it did not disappoint. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to the right destinations to see the wildlife. We saw plenty of snakes and turtles, about 5 alligators, some raccoons,... More
