Our family enjoyed the tour and are glad we took the time to plan this excursion. The pick up from hotel made it easy. Our guide was entertaining and informative. Getting to see the alligators, wild boar and birds in their natural environment and the beauty of the bayou up close was an unforgettable experience. Our two girls, age 6... More

Captain Jake led my family on a great swamp tour that was shy of big gators but had plenty of other wildlife. The weather was a little cooler than anticipated but my daughters (8 and 11) said that they still enjoyed it. The drive from NO was just under 30min so if you're visiting New Orleans definitely put it on... More

This is definitely worth your time while visiting the New Orleans area.Capt. Nathan was very knowledgeable about the area. We saw gators from 3 feet to 10 feet, feral hogs and their babies, snakes, egrets, herons, tons of turtles... All from the comfort of a clean boat with a shade canopy and the quietest outboard motor I have ever heard.... More

We had Captain Greg as our guide on March 29th. He was funny, competent and knew a lot about the area. We saw raccoon, aligators, birds, snakes. His pig call was not working that day so we did not get to see the wild pigs, but you takes your chances. We highly recommend the experience!

My family and I did three tours with Cajun Encounters. One was the city/cemetery tour and it was very informative and definitely a way to see all different areas of New Orleans. Our guide was well informed about the area and her driving skills were impressive. On another day we did a daytime swamp tour and it was really awesome.... More

I've done several tours in different parts of the world and this was by far the best. The boat ride was amazing and seeing the different wildlife was very neat. Great job Captn John! Don't forget your bug spray, it is a swamp.

On a recent school trip, a colleague and I brought a group of 13 teenagers and it was a blast! Coming from the landlocked Midwest, it was super being able to see 3 different types of aquatic environments - freshwater, brackish, and salt up so close and in a short time. Captain Greg was a hoot - engaging and entertaining... More
