The landscape here during azalea season (only a couple of weeks in early April) is one of the prettiest things I've ever seen. Waterfalls, rocks, benches, sculptures, and a sea of pink and white. The sad part is that no photography is allowed. However, this might make it all the more precious. You have to soak it all in and... More

What an amazing time I had on a date here at the Art Gallery. Don't let the name try and turn you away. The paintings and figures are absolutely stunning. Out back in the yard the beautiful flowers and the pond at the bottom make it for an amazing date to take your significant other on. I will definitely be... More

A nice average size gallery. General and Locality themed exhibits as well as a kids area. We enjoyed it a great deal.

I'll just keep it short and sweet. Free. Very interesting art exhibits and the building itself qualifies as art too.

I never would have known this was in Shreveport. I was amazed by what we saw. Really beautiful and great atmosphere. Something I would recommend to others and come back and visit myself. My husband is not into art but stayed and looked for hours without complaining.

It is a free museum with a surprisingly varied and quality collection. Includes vases, drawing, and glass. Don't miss the special wooden pedestals created specially for displaying items of the collection. The library is astonishing.

Welcome you to Shreveport, Louisiana, the third major city in the state, located in NW Louisiana. If you're visiting the town for the very first time, besides other attractions (not that many), casinos, restaurants, you should dedicate a bit of time to visit RW Norton Art Gallery. The very first impression looking the building from outside is not that "welcome",... More

This is one of the best kept secrets in Shreveport. It has a diverse and interesting collection and makes great efforts to interest the community and children in art. Really nice staff.

There's a little bit of something for everyone here. The grounds are beautiful, too. It's worth the time spent.

We decided to take in the Norton on a Saturday trip to Shreveport because the weather was too dreary for any outside activities. This was our first trip to the museum and we really enjoyed the experience. The gallery is in a long arching building which features several galleries of different art. Most of the art is contemporary American, but... More
