A great place for kids to have hands on science and fun learning. Adults have a blast too and they have an awesome I-Max theater. A must visit!

We used to take school groups there. They always did an amazing job in their demonstrations. There was always something new. The kids had a great time and so did we.

For a smaller sized city this science museum is pretty good. We guesstimated about a 4 hour visit, and we were right on, with a few minutes to spare. Some of the exhibits were not fully functional and showing their age, but overall a good variety of interesting hands on displays. Special thanks to the Engineering Student who ran the... More

Our 18 month old even HAD a blast and could have played all day! IMAX is awesome but can be shorter to help with shorter attention spans.

Hands on experience for all ages. All the exhibits were fun while teaching something scientific. Our favorite exhibit was the time clock pendulum. A must for the whole family.

This is a big museum. It has a ton of hands on stuff. It is for all ages. The younger ones will have fun playing with the stuff and the older ones will have fun reading and learning how and why the exhibits work. We didn't make it to the planetarium or the theater. I thought some if the stuff... More

We stopped in while visiting family. Had a 7 yr old with us. This is a nice place. It's hard to cater an attraction like this to every age group, but they seemed to have a good mix of old / young children attractions. The IMAX experience was less than impressive. It may be the movie we saw "Air Racers"?... More

We spent an afternoon at the Sci-port while visiting Shreveport. We took 9 of our children, ages 2 to 17. Everything was hands-on, and the activities varied - from electricity to health, astronomy to water tables to a bed of nails to lay on. There is a small area just for Louisiana reptiles and fish, and a children's area for... More
