An old friend who lives in Lafayette, LA helped me find this locally well known supermarket. It is run by a local family and sells the best in Cajun cuisine that can be found in lower LA. Boudin, Jambalaya, etouffee, shrimp, rues, and a wide variety of other Southern LA foods made fresh daily. Their boudin balls and cracklin' are... More

Being from Colorado you hear about Louisiana and stuff the locals eat. Well we stopped here after seeing it on trip advisor and were not disappointed! Lots of fresh meat to consider and all the weird stuff! Alligator, rabbit, frog legs, etc...all available for purchase. We did buy smoked boudin which was very good and stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon... More

We stop here every time we go thru Scott. The Boudin is great not to much rice like a lot of Boudin. The pork cracklings are also very good. But our favorite thing there are the cooked Boudin balls. They are always hot fresh and incredible. We load up on them and have them for lunch then again for dinner.... More

I had my first taste of boudin here 12 years ago. I love boudin, and have had it since then from other suppliers. But I'd forgotten how good The Best Stop's boudin is until we came back here this past month. It's got a bit of Cajun spice in it, and just the right proportion of meat to rice. You... More

When returning to Texas, we quickly stop here to buy some meat and boudin, following the recommendation made by our friends. Quite simple place with good stuff to sell. You can also buy ready-to-eat boudin and go outside with a beer. I would stop by next time again...

So we were on our way to Texas when we started seeing signs for boudin so naturally we stopped. Wrong choice. The place was out dated and unclean. The customers and employees were rude. As if since we weren't locals that we were imposing. The food was ok but there was grease basically pouring out of it. We had to... More

This place was awesome. The staff was amazingly helpful and kind. We had a taste of all the snacks, from cracklings to turkey Tasso. Umm, umm good!

I have a huge love of Billy's boudin, but I have to say that Best Stop comes in at a close second! They are usually pretty busy, but they are quick to serve you. I also like that there is a separate line for people getting hot boudin and for people getting anything else. You can go in, get your... More

It's a small shop but the customer service is excellent. The food is fresh! We stop everyone we pass through Louisiana. Love the jalapeño chicken sausage and the andouille sausage.
