The tour overall was excellent. The company, Old River Road Platation Adventure, sent a bus to pick us up at our hotel. The bus driver took us around the Frech Quarter (FQ) and gave us a little history of it. He then drove us to our first destination, Oak Alley plantation, and took a tour of it. All the while... More

June 2014. Tour guide was knowledgeable. Arrived at Oak Alley, NO time to hit the rest rooms or miss the tour. Tour was good. NO time to shop or walk around on your own. Just enough time to use rest room. Onto Laura plantation, tour was great, then again, no time to tour on your own rushed onto van to... More

Very interesting. Laura combined with Oak Alley is a good day's outing if a bit spendy. Oak Alley is a photographer's dream. The trip is a good history lesson and you are able to see different styles of plantations. My kids were especially moved by the slave cabins and engravings that can be seen on the woodwork of the Laura.... More

I don't much like paying to spend a lot of time in a bus or waiting. We took the tour to visit 2 antebellum mansions. Oak alley and Laura. Unfortunately the tour company also had other tours on our bus so they were trying to manage their needs as well as ours. As a result it was all a rush.... More

The Oak Valley and Laura Plantations were fascinating but the driver/ guide took the edge off everything by rushing everything, not really enough time to fully appreciate the venues apart from the guided tour. The venue guide at Oak Valley was excellent, fascinating history, humour and enthusiasm....he should be used as an example for the Laura guide's professional development. The... More

Thanks to our Hotel Concierge for recommending this tour operator. What a fantastic and professional company. If you go on a tour with them you will be lucky to get Elmore as your guide. We were, and boy did he make the difference. We did the Oak Alley and Laura Plantations along with the swamp tour with Cajun Pride. Elmore... More

I booked this all day trip with my mother we thought it was a great deal for the money. Our driver Billie picked us up on time, he was fun, drove through traffic fast ( that's New Orleans) he played some great music and was informative. We visited Oak Alley first which was beautiful the guides were all dressed in... More

On the way to New Orleans we decided to take a side trip off I-10 (and all the trucks), going back in time several hundred years it seemed to the European settlement of the Mississippi River between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Definitely worth spending several hours, and I recommend starting at the Houmas House (exit 179 from I-10) and... More
