I agree with other reviewers, the film looks outdated but the Cajun history which is told here is important and whole thing just adds to the experience. The shop is packed with rice, Cajun, Louisiana or Konriko related items. You can taste some of the product without any pressure to buy anything. This is one of those stops where you... More

We enjoyed the tour and the General Store, the store has lots of things you can buy, the rice is the best. We purchased the pecan rice and it is great. Lots of seasonings and spices.

Not worth the money. Video about Cajun culture is 17 minutes long and was probably created in the 1980s. We viewed it from a computer. There is no excuse at this time for such an old video. It is a cheap and easy fix. Also, the video should focus on rice planting and harvesting. We had to look at three... More

My husband and I have been touring Cajun country in our motorhome and went to New Iberia specifically to tour the Konriko rice mill and the Tabasco plant on Avery Island. It was a slow Tuesday so we were fortunate that our tour had only one other couple and us, allowing us to ask questions as we went along. Our... More

We didn't take the tour of the rice mill, but visited the general store and I loved it! The lady working there, Miss Sara (sorry if I am getting your name wrong), was so friendly and it was nice to talk with her about the area and the store. They have some wonderful food products; all sorts of rice from... More

I brought a group of students there last week. I really could not believe they charged money for the "tour", which consisted of sitting in a storeroom watching a very dated movie and then walking over to the rice factory where we saw nothing being made but dust. The cats that are used for rodent control were the best part... More

this is an interesting tour of the USA's oldest working rice mill. It was both informative and interesting. We now know why this area is the craw fish capital, if you don't know then go take the tour and yes it does have to do with rice! The lady doing the tour was great and directed us to an amazing... We found the tour of the rice mill to be so interesting and unique. We were very impressed with the owners' commitment to producing quality food. Since we are very passionate about supporting local food producers, this was right up our alley! You will see some historical machinery and buildings also. Our tour guide was very witty and knowledgable. The... More

we loved this store - everything was reasonably priced, but touristy. Bought several items to take home - LOVED the spices! The mill tour was very interesting and so was the movie that told us just how rice and crawfish were raised. The lady that was our tour guide worked there a long time, she was very friendly and made... More

The tour was somewhat interesting, but it was dark and dusty inside and nothing was going on the day we were there. The Company Store was worth the visit, especially discovering the Hol-Grain line of non-GMO foods.
