This is a great stretch of road along the river that is worth spending a couple hours exploring. The stores are interesting and the general area, specifically the river across the road, is beautiful. Do see the Sports museum at one end and walk further along the other end to see the older houses. A must see in the area.

Very good variety of shops in easy walking distance from each other. Parking was very easy and plentiful.

We went in August and on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Not many shops open and some that said they should be open were closed. We asked around and some said that this was there slow time and that really pick up in October, November and December. I would love this town if we could have done more shopping.

Lots of cool shops on this stretch - but not your average souvenirs. Much more sophisticated offerings for the most part. Sadly, most are not open in the evening and some have hours posted that they do not observe.

Who would have thought that this place was here? I was traveling through and found this by mistake but what and amazing little town. Travel around the neighborhood area as it is beautiful and stunning. Great people everywhere, super friendly and every where is so well kept.

It is always fun to shop the beautiful downtown area. We made it from the Kaffe-Frederick General Mercantile to the Soapery at the far end. If planning your trip, most stores don't open until 10 A.M., and most close by 6 P.M.

We happened across this town on a trip to New Orleans. We decided, after staying the night at a local hotel by the interstate, to visit the historical district and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our weeklong trip. What a beautiful and well preserved area. The park along the river is gorgeous. We stopped in... More

Has some interesting shops here. Once you have lived here you will know the better ones to choose from. Kaffie Fredrick is the best to look around but if you actually need gifts, go to Dickens, Plantation Treasure, or the little bath store they have now. The side streets have good antique shops as well. Tres Bien is a very... More

We had such a good time shopping here on our girls get away. They have neat stuff that is not overpriced. Anything from a diaper ( loved this store!) to flea market type stores....must go to kaffe fredericksburg and buy something just to watch them use the antique register, it is so neat!!
