After walking around we stopped for blue bell ice cream. I got a float & my daughter got butter pecan ice cream. Wife got a coke. We loved the kitchen store. Owner is so cool. She is a Harley riding biker grandma. We talked to her awhile & told her about some of the rally's nearby. She also offers cooking... More

FREE parking is available by Front Street (water). There were plenty of public benches to sit on. I like that. No dislikes to be mentioned.

Wish there was more shopping available, but what is there is great. There is a great little 2-story Antique Store on one of the side streets which has some great stuff in it and is a must see. All shops are nice and fun, the antique stores just happen to be my favorite.

Nice place for a stroll to window shop and enjoy the river. The shops and restaurants close early in this area so try to be here around 10-2 pm. The shops are varied with typical tourist prices. Many of the same items are sold elsewhere for 25% less. We strolled the area twice and because Natchitoches doesn't really burst with... More

This is the site of the original French Colony in Louisiana and this area reflects the old world architecture. The streets are still made of bricks and cast iron adornments are everywhere. The shops are unique and varied in their wears. One toy store is particularly unique. This is a great ace to watch the river slowly meander through town,... More

We had such a nice time browsing all the fun shops in Natchitoches. We especially enjoyed the Bath House Soapery and the Rocking Horse Toy Store.

Enjoyed the variety of shops. The walk along the Cane is nice and a nice selection of good local restaurants

I have been several times and I enjoy every visit. I love the antique store. There are so many treasures you can find. The coffee shop is a hot spot.

I'm not a shopper; but, if you are, you will love Front street. There are at least 3 blocks of all sorts of shops. My interest was the ironwork and architecture of the street, and I was not disappointed. It is evocative of Savannah or Charleston without the Spanish Moss. The Visitor's center is located on this street, as are... More

The better half and I have an agreement about the Historic Shopping District. She gets to shop as much as she likes and I get to hang out in the several watering holes on Front St. It's a perfect arrangement.
