If you are limited for time and want a basic trip out to the swamps from New Orleans, this trip is worth doing. The reserve is located around 45 minutes out of New Orleans and the company runs regular boats into the swamp, which is right next to the I10 freeway. The guides are knowledgable and they provide ongoing commentary... More

We took the swamp tour at the beginning of February. They warned us that it might be too cold for gators to be out. But our guide was still hopeful. We saw raccoons, a few birds and even a couple of very small gators. I really wish I remembered the guide's name because he's really what made the tour. He... More

Note that this tour is more for people who don't really get out into 'real' nature much. As an avid nature-lover, I found myself remaining seated while some other tour members rushed from side to side to see gators and raccoons eat marshmallows. But nevertheless, I can't really give Cajun Pride Tours a bad rating because it was ultimately a... More

This company has large comfortable boats. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable. We didn't see alligators because it was too cold and they were smarter than us! Nevertheless we did see some swamp life and enjoyed the tour.

With all the swamp tours to choose from, I'm glad we chose this one! The boat was slow and relaxing, a nice change of pace from the French Quarter. Our guide was funny and very informative. And yes, we saw many alligators! I would highly recommend this tour.

We took the tour on February 7th and it was a beautiful day for it. Brandon was our tour guide and I must say it was a lot fun. The highlight of the tour for me was getting to hold the baby alligator, cutest thing ever and surprisingly soft. Brandon was very informative and entertaining. He also brought other creatures... Recently took the Cajun Pride Swamp Tour in the end of January. My one complaint was that we were picked up from our hotel and dropped off at the site with about a 40 minute gap to wait for the tour to begin. However the ride from the hotel to the site was very informative. Our driver gave us an... More

On January 31, 2015 we took the City/Cemetery Tour provided by Cajun Swamp Tours. The driver drove us around the city and constantly showed us parts of Katrina damage. We got to stop once at the City park for a bathroom stop. We were not able to take any pictures of the City because the driver just kept driving around... More

I was in a group of three couples (3 male, 3 female) that toured the last week in December. We were not expecting to see much wild life that time a year, but when we were shown a gator on the bank that was clearly stuffed I just gave up. We were all very disappointed. Our guide was knowledgeable about... More

This is Lori with Cajun Pride Swamp Tours. Your disturbing review stating you were shown a stuffed alligator on the bank is absolutely, 100%, untrue. At no time has there ever been a stuffed alligator on the bank at Cajun Pride Swamp Tours. Myself, my husband, our captains, and our staff work countless hours and extremely hard at this swamp...
