I live in Lake Charles, but had not been to our Visitor Center, until having my Grandchildren. It was a really cool place to take children....and get pictures. Right next to them is a nice walking trail that will lead to an Alligator exhibit. I was very impressed.

This was the 4th time I've visited Lake Charles and wanted to do something other than casinos I stopped here to get some information. There was a wide range of brochures to choose from on Lake Charles and other cities. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and was offered assistance if I couldn't find what I was... More

The best site to get your bearings in the Lake Area. Need a direction, restaurant, hotel, something to do--this is the place to get answers.

Great local art and crafts inside. Lots of information packages inside, for festivals, activities, attractions to see while you are there.

this is a very good visitor's center and represents Southwest Louisiana very well. If you're travelling East on I-10 it's definitely worth the effort to stop and check it out. Great maps and brochures and super friendly people behind the counter. A pretty view of the Lake. Nice little gift shop too.

Lake Charles appears to be a destination only for Texans seeking a casino. We couldn't figure out any other reason why anyone would want to stop here. It's a completely uninteresting city that perhaps has seen better times, but one can't be sure. We were going to stop for lunch, but decided to keep going. Since we were heading east,... More

RV's Not welcomed!!! We use to pull up in my RV and park in their RV par, if you call it that. It is now closed. We tried to park in the Golden Nuggets parking lot and was told and have the paper they left on the window, RV's are not welcomed! Was told to go to L'Auberge duclac and... More
