I needed a general map and also a detailed map of Lake Charles. They had both and highlighted our route.
This visitor center is large and full of information about the area and surrounding areas. A great place to rest, rejuvinate, and have a cup of coffee on the house. Its great to note that there are live alligators in the safely fenced pond right next door. Have fun seeing if you can spot one.
great place to walk around and see stuff. the kids loved everything about it. i hope to return again someday when it wont be so windy and cold.
The Lake Charles Visitor Center is a must stop for anyone passing through the Lake Area. The Center has lots of information about all kinds of tourist sites along 1-10 spanning from New Orleans to East Texas.
Lake Charles Visitor Center is wonderful. When we visited the area, trying to find the best golf courses, they were excellent.
Stopped in on the beginning of touring the Creole Nature trail. Very nice, with lots of brouchures and hotel coupons. They have a live alligator pond next door!! Lake Charles, unlike many cities I have visited have very few hotels that accept discount coupons. Brochures were available for Louisiana attractions.
Great range of maps and other information and the lady running the centre was super friendly and helpful and suggested an excellant breakfast place
Good, well organized & helpful. Nice facility--actually makes visitors want to stop if they know it's there.
