Want to see old cajan life, this is a good place to spend some time. Kid friendly and kept my children attention even though they had to walk.

This is a very nice reconstructed acadian village. you can do a selfguided tour or a guided our. The community supports work programs for developmentally disabled adults. There are two in the area, but I recommend this one.

I am an officiant and I have performed several weddings in the Chapel there. The chapel is quaint, the grounds are beautifully kept. So much culture and beauty here!

Nice place for Festivals, and if you want to know more about the Cajun Culture. You can learn about the Cajun history and way of life. Tried it at Christmas time, very nice light display, or have your weeding in the little church.

Acadian Village is a fantastic place to check out around the Christmas holiday. The festival of lights is unlike anything you've ever seen. However, if you're short on time and can only squeeze in one cultural experience while you're in town, I would check out Vermilionville instead.
