Many authentic Cajun houses and buildings to see. Nice peaceful place. Lots of nice pathways to walk on. Beautiful at Christmas!

While I'm too young to remember Acadian during this time period I have parents who can. They have wonderful stories. My uncle actually built several of these structures. My visit was to share my culture with my children so they can one day pass it down to their children.

We enjoyed visiting all the homes and the church that are in the village. There where no guides at the time of our visit, it would have been more interesting if a guide would have been there for us.

HIghly recommend going to see this attraction. The film was very informative. Our guide was excellent. There was a 90 year old gentleman that played the violin. He was in World War II. He was delightful. Our group was given a dance lesson.

It was a nice 2 hour max side trip. This is not a place I would build a trip around, but a nice place to visit while already in the area. Great period buildings and appropriate antiques nicely share the Cajun heritage of the area. Admission was reasonable. The gift shop was small, but it was nice to purchase something... More

We were lucky enough to visit on a day a charity music festival was taking plus. The icing on the cake was a black pot cook off . We tasted three different Cajun Gumbos - could not get more authentic dishes cooked by local very competitive men. A winner was declared and commiserations were offered to the losers. We left... Reassembled and furnished Acadian properties in a pleasant setting with an overview of local history and demonstrations of craft and music of the time. Our experience was added to by someone visiting her grandmother's house and recalling times spent there. A nice way to spend an hour or so. It is worth visiting the nearby Acadian Cultural Centre first to... More

This is like a smaller version of Colonial Williamsburg. It is a good recreation of life here in the past. The guides and "residents" of the village were well informed and presented it in a good way.
