very well presented, we looked at a presentation of the early Cajuns, enjoyed the presentation. Saw the wall of all the Acadians family names that arrived in Louisiana.

My youngest loves to take pictures and this place is awesome for that. Plus it's not a far drive for us. I love the beauty and relaxing atmosphere here.

Very nice and preserved plantation. We got to make several food items with dates!!! My kids especially loved making and eating ice cream from dates. The bread was tasty too!! Great for parents and kids! The hands on activities were great!

for another visit. The same tree and the same house and it all made me feel right at home. I recommend this to anyone with Cajun ancestry.

This site is a beautiful and well preserved southern plantation. The park employees are very friendly, knowledgeable of the history and culture, and dressed in period costume. This place makes you feel like you have gone back in time. A must for any visit to southern Louisiana

We really enjoyed this place. The friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff and guides made it most interesting. This is real, not Disneyland. The little historical museum in the office area is very well done. I can't remember the name of the young man on the Homestead farm, but he was most enjoyable and interesting! I chewed on my first sugar cane... More

I had been to see the Evangeline oak 35 years ago and back then it was just the oak with a fence around it. When we pulled in this time I was surprised to find it is a State Park (thus the fee). Thinking the $8.00 apiece was just to see the oak , we almost left without going in... More
