Bayou is right outside and if weather is nice have a picnic outside. Then cross the foot bridge to see the beautiful Native American statue... More

While trying to kill some time in Houma I decided to stop by the Waterlife Museum. The museum is small and has restrooms and a nice gift shop. There is a $3.00 fee to get in. Most of the attractions are interactive and they give a good representation of the importance and history of Terrebonne Parish. Not surprisingly most of... More

Great education on that precious piece of our America. Makes you realize how important our marshlands and habitat is. If it disappears, then where will humanity be?

found this by chance with tripadvisor. wasn't really planned in our tight travel-time frame. but it was really worth the time. it gives the whole family an impression about the cajun culture , the re-settling and the bayou country (how does a bayou look underneath the water). good information for the rest of our trip.

I haven't been in a few years, I thought the admission price was a little expensive when we visited, but you will learn a great deal about the culture, wetlands and our area.

Pearly, the manager is wonderful. She goes beyond her duty to help you enjoy the museum. The museum is a hands on museum and you will learn a lot about local culture.

This small museum had a rocky start to fruition, but the experience is entertaining and educational. Worth a 40 minute visit for sure. Lots of kids oriented displays.

Got all the local and bayou information we needed to better understand the area. Wonderful little place to spend an hour in looking at and listening to the exhibits.
