My husband and I visited this zoo around noon on Sunday, Aug 30. The entry fee is around the same as a movie ticket...no complaints there. We live in Lafayette, so this is a very easy drive for us. Do not expect or compare this to the large zoos in the bigger cities. This one does a good job on... More

Visited this zoo over the weekend with a friend and 2 - 9 year old girls. My first thought was how pretty all of the vegetation was...lots of shade (which definitely helped with the South Louisiana heat) and tons of beautiful bamboo. I loved all of the pathways and boardwalks. I loved that it felt like we had the place... More

Worth seeing again. Very clean and friendly staff. Lots of different animals. Nicely landscaped for the animals.

It's a small zoo. It makes a nice break to stretch your legs while travelling. . The animals are easily seen which is great for little ones.

We had a blast! We saw things that I we had not seen at other zoos. We will revisit when we are in the area.

I had a family membership for this zoo for 2 years. I had hoped during this time that the zoo would improve but alas, this has not happened. The animals are kept in tiny cages, especially the big cats. It's honestly the most depressing zoo I have ever been to. The monkeys are solitary and just look sad, the tigers... More

We had such a fabulous time visiting the Zoo of Acadiana. With two little ones (ages 2 1/2 and 6 months), it was perfect. Very shaded, lots of animals to enjoy. The train run was cute. We enjoyed our day here.

Had a great time at this zoo. My sister and I took my 8 month old son. Lots of shaded pathways. Easy to get around with a stroller. Lots of birds and monkeys. Had a great reptile exhibit, farm animal petting zoo, wolves, Tigers, giraffes, leopard... Did not sample any food, because we brought our own snacks. Fun, quiet, relaxing... More

I love going to zoos, but this is not my favorite. It's not very big, but it sure is expensive. I only go when I can't travel to Baton Rouge, because it's 5mins from my house.
