We were fortunate to take an 11:00AM tour and have only two other couples besides ourselves. Our guide was very informative and answered all our questions. He was well versed with the swamp itself, the various birds and the various trees and plants growing in the swamp. We were all very satisfied with both the service and the experience.

For the price, this is something you gotta do if visiting the area, total legit swamp tour. I thought I 'might' get to see a gator. But we saw many gators, big and small, other wildlife and the ecology of the swamp. The tour guide seemed very happy to do his job and very knowledgeable.

Butch was great - so very knowledgable about the animals and plants and the history of the area. Had funny and interesting stories and could answer any of our questions. We got up really CLOSE to a big guy... Thank you - we had a great time.

My friends and I were travelling between New Orleans and Houston when we stopped along the way for this tour. We were greeted by Butch who took us out onto Lake Martin. Butch very knowledgably guided us around the lake, carefully explaining the various elements of the local ecosystem including the birds, plants and aquatic life. He also gave a... More

Never thought two hours in a swamp would be so interesting! Our guide Shawn shared so much information about the area as we travelled in a very comfortable low-side flat bottom boat (with padded swivel seats) amongst the cypress trees in the swamp. Shawn had an amazing talent for spotting all kinds of birds, mating nests, animals and insects (including... More

This was the second time out for a tour of the Lake Martin swamplands. I had come 2 1/2 years ago with my family, and had such fun that this time I returned with 8 of my friends. No disappointments and if anything, Butch, our tour guide was even more attentive and informative. The flat bottom boat is basic but... More

Bob really knows his stuff and makes a two hour swamp tour feel like 30 minutes, I wanted more. He was fun, knowledgable and makes you feel very safe. Well worth the money. I gave been on these sort of tours before but this was the best

We live in FL, so gators are no big deal, but we did love the beautiful cypress trees that were turning colors and the plethora of wild yellow daisy like flowers which were a total surprise. This is so much better than an airboat because it is not noisy and you can really enjoy the beauty. That said, it wouldn't... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour through the Lake Martin swamp. It was balanced perfectly between peaceful tranquillity and knowledgeable commentary on the swamp and its inhabitants. The tour guide had a real passion for what he does and to keep up the enthusiasm doing 3 tours a day is a real credit to the tour / company. Fantastic way to spend a... More

My husband and I went on a tour with Shawn at the start of October. We absolutely loved it, and Shawn was so knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. I would recommend this tour to anyone and if we ever return to Louisiana we will be sure to do this tour again! We saw alligators, tons of interesting birds,... More
