Description: The Red River is the picturesque setting for Bossier City's unique...
The Red River is the picturesque setting for Bossier City's unique shopping and entertainment destination, The Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk. Across the Red River from downtown Shreveport, the project's first phase opened in November, 2003, with the state's first Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. The remainder of Boardwalk opened in May 2005 and joined a vibrant casino district nestled along the majestic riverfront for nearly a half-mile. The Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk is the first lifestyle center to open in the state of Louisiana offering outlet shopping, an entertainment district and riverfront dining.

Besides the fact you can have a relaxing walk along the river, there is a nice, diverse selection of shops. A couple restaurants, goodies/snack shops, books and Bass Pro Shop.

The Louisiana Boardwalk is anchored by Bass Pro, numerous restaurants and an IMAX theater. The boardwalk is marketed as an outlet strip mall, but I haven't been able to find a lot of bargains here. This attraction is definitely worth a few hours while in town. Just off the banks of the Red River, the stroll along the boardwalk is... More

The movie theater and bass pro really keep this place alive and now margaritaville. However without them it would be dead they just don't have you usual store like hot topic and GameStop and many of the well known clothing store. Though I do enjoy stores such as farmers market the sports store, earth works, Buffalo Wild Wings and my... More

stores are easy to get to and it even has a trolley to ride so you do not have to walk so far. Needs more parking though as it can be hard to find a place to park.

Took away the trolley - a real shame. Was allot of fun for kids and free. Also great for older seniors that had trouble walking the entire complex. Not as decorated for Christmas as it was when it first opened - need to bring that back along with the carolers. Great restaurants and scenery.
