Slow day for the races, weather was chilly and damp but we had a great time. Husband raved about the buffet and I thought we had lost an Uncle, but found him in the Casino. Casino was clean, bright and has a good selection of slot machines. Disappointed that I could not find Video Poker, but I got over it.... More

Did not do well at any of the machines, and didn't see anyone else win either. Choice of machines was limited to older games, not many new ones. The decor was nice and the place felt secure. Dining choices very limited, an over priced buffet and a very busy burger place, probably because of the pricey buffet.

Very clean racetrack. This is the off season but they were running quarter horses. Wow, I had never seen these types of races. Short and fast...220 yards. There was a very thin crowd and only a few ticket booths open but we were betting with the electronic machines, no problem. Cold affordable beers and a so so BBQ pork sandwich.... More

Large parking lot for tractor trailer drivers. Several hotels onsite with discounts for drivers. Above average odds on slots. Only complaint is they have only one Wheel of Fortune dollar slot. How bout upgrading to 3 more dollar slots and throw 4 or 5 $ 5 wheel of fortune slots in the high limit area. Initially won a total of... More

This review is for the New Years Eve party thrown by Louisiana Downs. It was free, great band, drinks for purchase, a clock for countdown and a great fireworks display afterwards! It was busy and full but there was still room to move around. They passed out free hats and party blowers for the guests to ring in the new... More

I only spent about an hour in this location. It has a smaller casino area compared to others in the area but it also gives you the ability to gamble on horses. Slot machines only, no table games and no poker room. Clean establishment with friendly employees and self service soft drink stations.

loved the drinks servers jungle juice, new video slot games were interesting. I didn't care for not winning, but adding up the hotel stay it came out about even. I can't find any faults with the friendliness or helpfulness of the staff they always greet us with a smile and have plenty of cheer.

We took a quick road trip to LA for the holiday weekend. We weren't sure about taking our kids to the horse races but we're glad we did. They had (just for fun - not betting or anything) dog racing in between the horse races and the kids loved that. They also had free pony rides, bounce houses, petting zoo,... More

This isn't vegas but I still liked LAD. We enjoyed betting on horses and there are several betting/viewing areas around the complex. Slots were ok, but we enjoyed betting on the horses more. Got 2 free buffets from playing and was one of the best casino buffet's we've ever had. Drink cart has a balloon hanging from it where you... More

Horse racing is always great. Casino is colorful. People always seem to be smiling. We always enjoy our visits to Louisiana Downs. They now have two hotels on the property.
