We were in Shreveport for a family reunion and managed to try a couple of the casinos there. Understand, we are very low budget slot players, and after entering the Horseshoe, we found that they tend to cater more to the higher rollers than us! Very few of our low budget slots. It would appear that the Horseshoe is geared... More

Traveling back home from family trip to Tennessee - decided on whim to check the vacancies at Horseshoe Casino. Their website listed best rate - it was a great value for the room. We enjoyed the casino and got a good night's sleep. The bed was very comfortable, however, the furnishings are worn and stained. I would recommend the housekeeping... More

If you are going to gamble expect to have to track someone down for a drink. They do not come around often like they do at el dorado. The outside fountains are nice and the inside looks nice but the casino itself is pretty crappy.

We aren't gamblers, but we do eat at the Casino buffets. The Horseshoe is one of the leading Casinos in the Shreveport/ Bossier City area. It is extremely clean and inviting. Friends who are gamblers always list this as a "go to" place. We have eaten at the buffet on several occasions. The food was really good with a lot... More

The 1,000,000.00 Wall was cool to see and it gave the impression this was a "real" casino. It was stacked really well with multiple floors but overall space of gambling area was tight. There was a mini mall like Caesar's Palace in Vegas that was really cool very high end stuff! There is a buffet in the casino that was... More

Terrible payouts. The staff was friendly but the payouts were terrible. There was hardly anyone winning. Even max betting would only get $10 or $20 at a time.

Spent a Sunday afternoon their in their gaming rooms playing penny slots and a few table games. Employees that we encountered were courteous and enjoyed conversations while gaming. The building was clean...I walked the stair ways to check out the cleanliness...if the stairways are neglected then that would suggest that there could be other areas that would also be neglected.... Went here first based on recommendation. This was my first casino experience. I also went to Boomtown across the way, and that lasted about 30 minutes before we decided to go right back to the Horseshoe. The place is big, clean, very friendly service, nice atmosphere, plenty to see and do, nice shows, and drinks are plentiful and tasty. Everyone... More
