we visited Blue Bayou on a Tuesday and the lines were really short, the people were very nice, and the only complaint that I have is that the one slide that looks like a snake was in my opinion very UNSAFE! The line that usually winds up was blocked bcause there can only be people at the very top so... more

The worst water park experience ever! Dangerously overcrowded! The employees know nothing and move in super slow motion. Unbelievable long lines for food...an hour wait. Hour plus lines for the water slides. Shoulder to shoulder in the wave pool...very dangerous. My young nephew was very upset with me as I wouldn't allow him in the wave pool. The lazy river... more

I live in Baton Rouge, and I visit Blue Bayou every chance I get. I must admit, there are alot of people who visit this park occasionally. Standing in the long lines is worth it. Its a fun place for the family. Things might not run as smoothly as you would like, but you have to understand this. Its the... more

We visited Dixie Landin Monday, August 4 hoping to enjoy the "discounted" fare after 6pm. The price on the website is incorrect. I was in for a huge shock at the ticket counter. Then we were greeted by a lovely attendant at the metal detector. He literally grunted at us and made odd hand gestures when it was time for... more

I attended The Blue Bayou Park in Baton Rouge on Saturday, July 26, 2008, and it was a nightmare. First of all we were a church group from Mississippi, and we had to walk a quarter of a mile to park from where they directed us to park, in temperature of 100 degrees, after reaching park, we had to stand in... more

We have been to Blue Bayou a few times in the past but this past weekend was the first time to the park in about three years. There were five of us.. . . . two adults, and three teens and we arrived around 12:00 noon on a Saturday. First thing we noticed was that the wave pool had people... more

My boyfriend and I went to Blue Bayou and had a great time with just the two of us. They have pretty many rides and you don't have a wait an unreasonable amount of time to get on them. The price of admission isn't really that much when you consider the attractions and the fact that you can stay all... more

I haven't been yet, but Im taking my son pretty soon. I went online to the website and was shocked by the prices. They are way cheaper than a nearby water park called Gulf Islands. I think Gulf Islands only has 4 major attractions plus a wave pool (that stinks) and a lazy river (that's only about 5 min. long)... more

This is a great place to have fun with or without the kids. My fiance and i went last weekend without the kids and we had so much fun. You should bring something to snack on b/c you will get hungry and everything inside the park is really expensive. !!!!!!!ex. $4.75 for some nachoo's w/cheese!!!!!! They only check your bag... more

Ouch! Our family of four spent $150 on admission. Go for season passes if you plan to go at least twice. If you have access to local coke or sprite cans there is a $5 discount, you need one can per person. The good news is you have a full day of access to water park and some great rides,... more
