We spent 3 days doing the Bourbon Trail. We got so used to be treated like guests at all of the distilleries. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate us. In one case we missed the start of the tour so one of the staff gave us a private tasting. Woodford could take lessons from their competitors. The staff... More

And a guided tour to match from Steve! The tour was as interesting and informative as any we had done, taking us right into the heart of the production process for the first time. Yes it was the most costly at $10 per head, but I think it was well worth the extra.

Visited and toured this site last weekend. The tour was really nice because everyone had their own radio headset and the guide had a microphone. You could hear no matter where you were in the group. Good tour. Fun guide, Rebecca. We also had a lunch there and enjoyed some good food especially the scones made by Midway School bakery.... More

This place is amazing, the views are unreal. The tour was great & I liked that we were all given a radio to listen to the guide as we walked around, cause it can get loud in some spots & hard to hear.

This is a standout on the trail. However, the drive through "horse country" is as good as the tour. Very interesting, great tour guide and of course the tasting was the highlight. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were friendly and very proud of their product. They also offer the tour at no cost to us veterans! Really enjoyed... More

We visited several distilleries in the area and felt that this was one of the nicest. I am a Maker's Mark Ambassador, so that is my favorite, but this is definitely number two. The old stone buildings are beautiful and the tour they give you is very educational. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

The grounds are nice, but there are more genuine-feeling distilleries nearby (LOVED Buffalo Trace). Found it utterly ridiculous that one would have to take a bus down a hill, just to depart at the bottom of the same (non-challenging) set of steps that led up to where you started... and then at another point to be told everything that the... I've always wanted to "do" the Kentucky Bourbon tour and when the opportunity presented itself, my wife insisted that I take it. Beautiful locale, informative and likeable tour guide and, of course, great Bourbon. If you're a Bourbon fan or just want to learn something to impress your friends with, take this tour.

A beautiful way to spend a morning in the rolling hills of Kentucky. The welcome center and gift shop was a pleasant setting while waiting for our hour long tour of the distillery to begin. Our guide, Gleason, was so knowledgable in the history of bourbon making and in the distillery itself. The tour ending in tasting of two of... More

Probably one of the best Lexington-area distillery tours, hands down. The buildings are very historic and super cool to tour. The facilities are first-rate. The gift shop is a little pricey compared to the Wild Turkey distillery but it's relatively reasonable. Certainly worth a visit.
