We took the tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife who is not a whiskey drinker loved it. The tour has great educational value as well as you learn some history and it offers a beautiful backdrop of the Kentucky countryside. If you are a whiskey fan you will love it even more, especially when it is time for the... More

The Woodford Reserve Distillery is nestled in an area of rolling hills and horse stables. The Visitor's Center is a beautiful building inside and out. I took the 1 hour plus tour and enjoyed it. On the tour you receive a small receiver and ear buds, so no matter what , you can hear the guide talking clearly. A bus... More

This was our second tour following Buffalo Trace and probably suffered by comparison. The grounds of this place are beautiful as is the architecture of the facilities. Our tour guide, however, was way too detailed and technical about all the chemistry and legal codes regarding bourbon making. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the tour and learned some interesting facts about bourbon. It... More

This was our last of three Bourbon Trail stops. Very beautiful grounds and building. Very crowded and VERY "touristy". I was disappointed that they don't take reservations (the other two distilleries we visited did) when you are coming from 3 hours away. The woman said its first come first serve and they don't make any promises. Since it was the... More

My wife & I were on our way to TN for a vacation in 2014 and spent the night in Kentucky the night before we got to TN. On a whim, we decided to do a distillery tour and Woodford was the one we saw first. Little did I know, there was this thing called "The Kentucky Bourbon Trail" and... More

Wonderful tour - really get to see a lot and go in quite a few buildings. Our tour guide was James and he was fantastic! Friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. I had heard that the Woodford tour was the best distillery tour to take, and I can see why!

First, our tour guide was great! I forget his name, but he told us that he is originally from Florida, so hopefully management will be able to figure that out. He was very passionate about his job and it showed. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. He answered our questions with ease. I found the cashiers in the... More

This was a wonderful tour. So friendly and James was an amazing tour guide. The tasting was educational and delicious. The food at the snack bar was good, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the rocking chairs.
