My wife and I recently visited Wight-Meyer Winery while traveling through Kentucky. We stayed in Shepherdsville and Saturday was to be our bourbon/ winery day. Wight-Meyer Vineyard & Winery is located approx 4.5 miles off I-65 at exit 116 in Shepherdsville. (For exact directions & wines see their website www.wight-meyervineyards.com). Upon arriving we were greeted by their friendly black furry... More

Okay, you'll have to stay alert to find this winery, but it's not hard and it's well worth the trip thru pretty country roads. Everyone including the family dog was very welcoming and friendly. The wine is delicious. Shipping it was easy. I expect to make wine jelly soon so I can share my visit there with friends.

This little winery is off the beaten path and worth the trip. There's a good variety of wines and the tastings are always fun. Donna does a great job talking about the wines and she keeps the vibe fun and informative. The wines are quite good and there's sure to be something that pleases your palate. Get the cheese tray... I really liked this winery. We went early in the morning when they just opened. The owner was really friendly. The wines tasted really good. It is a very small winery. We did not get to go outside because it was raining but had a nice patio area. Its a great place to visit.

We stopped here while in town for the Kentucky Derby and were so glad we did. When we first pulled up to this quaint winery the views of the vineyard were great. Going inside we were welcomed by Sandy and her very friendly dog, Henry. We did a wine tasting for only $5. and were able to taste 5 of... More

It is just a small winery, which offers a lovely view of the vineyard. They have music on Saturday nights and it would be worth checking out. The wine tasting was 5.00 a piece and the wines seemed reasonably priced. The owners were very nice, and the wines are all great. It is hard just to pick one. I bought the... More

Thank goodness for GPS (and the sign on I-65) for helping me find this nice place. A friendly dog greeted me as I came in, and the server was friendly as well. The wines I sampled were all good, but I settled for the popular Diamond and the unusual Cherry Cordial with a hint of chocolate. Worth the drive off... More

Visiting from Arizona to celebrate my husbands mothers 80th Birthday. Had to take our time for surprise party. Relatives live very close to winery. We were told by family to stop at winery. We were greeted by Sandy, the owner. Her husband greeted us a few minutes later. Both were very nice and spoke about Arizona and our wineries. My... More

I visited this winery with my mother-in-law during a recent trip to KY. At first, I thought we were driving down someone's driveway, espeiclally when their dog greeted us! The wines were very good. There was a tasting fee of a few dollars, but we got to sample a lot of wine. My favorite was Amy's Apple pie. I found... More

After an enjoyable afternoon at the Wine Fest we decided to visit some of the local wineries. And Wight -Meyer was definitely a very good place to visit. Beautiful location. Our hostess was very knowledgeable about the wines and the place was very comfortable and inviting. We were even greeted by a very sweet dog that spent some time lying... More
