These pieces of artwork are wonderful, telling the story of the area from the first settlement. The size of the "canvasses" is staggering and they are a must see. We were fortunate during our visit to be able to speak to a painter who was doing touch-up work on them.

This is worth ambling along the shore line and seeing historic depiction of Paducah. A worthwhile project with lots of contributions from local artistic community. Appreciate the work!

It is always great to walk along the wall especially prior to an event at the Carson Center. We see something different each time we go.

These are so interesting and full of history. I took pictures of them all and studied the stories that they told when I returned home. What a powerful past!

Various murals along the waterfront very interesting to see - plus a quiet area to stroll thru on a visit to the city

The Paducah floodwall and its murals are within easy walking distance of the National Quilt Museum. We found these murals fascinating. They trace the history of the city and the area. You should allow at least an hour to view them thoughtfully and read the information presented about each scene.

It is such a pleasant walk in Paducah to visit the murals. They are beautiful and so well done. A real enjoyment.

Great idea! Protect the town from flooding but incorporate elegant murals that feature history of the area. Benches along the confluence of the rivers make for a place to rest and chat (about the quilt museum, Kirchoffs and the murals themselves). The city council should take great pride in this project!

On the inside of the wall built to keep the Ohio river at bay during a flood, these murals highlight the history and community highlights of this river city. Each panel has a detailed marker/plaque with explanation, so expect to take the best part of an hour to view everything

The floodwater in Paducah is covered in murals by a painter who was commissioned to do a few. But the town loved his work so much, he continues to return and paint more murals. They are a wonderful depiction of the history of Paducah. And they contain some of the not so wonderful portions of the town's history. You won't... More
