Worth seeing. Beyond the murals is Paducah's riverfront which is pictured in many of the Murals. These murals were hand painted by a very talented artist & have produced oohs & aahs from most visitors.

Creative way to "dress up" a flood wall, plus shows historical events too! There are restaurants nearby and other downtown places to visit.

This is a small river front city that has invested in public art to cover the handiwork of the Army Corps of Engineers... The flood wall, built to protect the city after the flood of 1937, is a miracle of low tech engineering and foresight. What it never was was pretty. At some point the City commissioned the painting of... More

This is a walking history of Paducah and Western Kentucky. I know of nothing like it anywhere. You stroll past beautiful murals that by themselves tell the story of the area, and there are bronze plaques to explain more. It is possible to drive past, but walking is best to absorb all the details. You will learn a lot in... More

These murals are located in downtown Paducah, along the Ohio River, on the inside of the flood wall that protects the city during high water. Each mural is a historical depiction of Paducah's past and is of very high quality. Professionals are contracted, as needed, to keep them fresh and to offset weather wear. There are between two and three... More

The murals along our floodwall reflect the history of Paducah and surrounding areas. On a summer day, go to the ice cream factory, grab a cone and walk along the wall and read the plaques. So much nicer than grey concrete. While you are in downtown Paducah, browse the shops and grab a bite in one of the restaurants.

Thus is a free river walk on the river. They painted murals on the levy walls. It is really neat. So many things cost so much money these days, if the weather is nice, enjoy their historic downtown area and walk the river area. Very neat.

The floodwall murals are very pretty but it's certainly nothing to go out of your way for. Paducah is a pass-through town but it had a nice charm and these floodwalls are part of that charm.

It's a nice addition to a river walk through a cute downtown that is definitely on the rebound. Paducah is worth the visit!
