Paducah Kentucky is a wonderful small town, and one of its chief attractions is the Floodwall with the history of the town painted on this wall. The murals tell the story of the settling of the area and town, from its earliest days to its role as a nuclear energy hub. The wall runs along the old rail line. And... More

I found the flood wall murals to be much more interesting than I had anticipated. They are very well done and literally paint a history of the area. Each one is about a specific aspect or phase of history. I was impressed with the art work as well as the educational aspect and historical accuracy of the works. It is... More

Driving downtown can be a little tricky, but after you get there it's worth it! Murals are fantastic history, each with a plaque explaining everything. On the other side of the wall you have the beautiful view of the Tenn river flowing into the Ohio.

The area is very cute. Nice little park with gazebo where we parked. The murals did not disappoint. The views of the rivers were nice with plaques explaining the history of the rivers. The murals were large and lovely and someone was at work touching one up so they will continue to stay that way. There were many empty panels... More

So...lots of towns/cities are painting murals on wall/buildings but Paducah's Wall to Wall Murals at the waterfront (naturally) have gone more than the extra mile. Each mural beautifully depicts an aspect of the city's history. The brief but extremely informative plaque in front of each work describes the historical significance portrayed by the art. Really, I knew next-to-nothing about Paducah... More

We had a nice walk with our kids(9, 5 & 3) along the water front. We enjoyed the history of Paducah in the murals along the wall. Also got to see the Queen of Mississippi river boat.

The history of Paducah is brilliantly supplied in the artwork of these floodwall murals. Be sure and bring your camera, or better yet visit the River Heritage Museum for literature and gifts. It's time well spent, learning about this 'hidden jewel' of an area in Northwestern Kentucky.

What a wonderful usage of these walls, which tend to be quite drab otherwise. We were on a tight timeline and didn't have time to walk, so we drove along the display and still found it enjoyable.

Beautiful enormous murals, all telling a picture of the past and certainly worth viewing when in the area. Train engine at one end which train buffs will enjoy. Public restroom building on the other end. Quaint & eclectic downtown shopping & dining area just steps away. So glad we visited!
