Nice big bell

After your walk across the people purple bridge, take a few more blocks stroll to see this huge ringing bell.

Wow! I've never been that close to a very large, ringing bell. It was memorable. I'm glad I saw it. Our group requested it for a memorial activity, and it was quite moving. I only wish the attraction had a patch I could buy to add to my collection.

This is a huge bell. Other than that their is nothing special about it. The bell is on the corner of 4th st and RT 27.

It is a nice looking plaza but I have no idea why the guy built this. Nice to have the open space in the area but it is not something that people need to come to the area just to see it.

I can't say this is a riveting attraction, but it's a big bell so maybe worth a look if you have nothing better to do and just need a walk and too kill a few minutes. I don't want to say the peace bell is bad attraction, but it is kind of a silly name. We never had peace really,... More

The World Peace Bell is one the largest, FREE-SWINGING bells in the WORLD. It weighs 66,000 pounds and measuring 12 feet high and 12 feet wide, the bell was designed and cast by Cincinnati's own Verdin Bell Company, one of the largest bell-making companies in the world. There is a museum upstairs with a helpful docent but I don't know... More

As a stand alone site to visit, it is quite compact. It has history and commemoration of firefighters, so it has interest. If you are walking Newport, KY stop by. It is open air.

We have never seen anything so huge. Amazing! We took pictures and our people look so small. It's worth taking a little walk to, plus there is a firefighter memorial site next to it and lots of beautiful architecture nearby.

This is a very cool bell and memorial. The isn't much signage, but look around and you'll find the facts about it. This is a great place for photos. I think it is worth 15-30 minutes of time to enjoy and explore.

The bell is kind of cool., how it was made, etc but it is in a little tower. Disappointing from the original publicly announced plans. The firefighter staues by it are really neat. It is a nice place for an outdoor celebration like July 4 so you can hear up lose the bell ring.
