Great trip.

We had a great trip. It was our daughters first time. She had a blast. Try to get your tickets as early as you can in the morning cause it gets crowded.

The Aquarium is the centerpiece of a micro city/plaza. The Aquarium is well laid out and the exhibits are interesting for any age. There seemed to be a staff member willing to answer questions about every 25 to 30 feet. The plaza had several places to eat, a movie theater, a book store, a candy store, and other places to... We decided to head to the aquarium for spring break rather than spend more than we had going to a beach. We went during the day and the there was not much of a crowd there on a Wednesday. Kids took tons of pictures and were as happy as could be.

Arrive at opening (10 am). Small crowd. Skip the pengium parade, it is no big deal and you can beat the crowds and school kids who show up a little later. Lots of nice animals to see. Enjoyed the new Canyon area with the otter. The penguins are good too. Took us about 3 hours to see everything. Nice place... More

I'm not a fan of touch tanks as it is not good for the animals, but I liked all the rest. The gift shop was great too. I spent too much money. I'm not sure how the average family could afford a day trip there.

Great place to take your family. Can be pricey, so buy discounted tickets at Kroger (service desk) ahead of time. Kids really enjoyed getting to touch the sea urchins, starfish, and sharks. Main complaint is the lack of bathrooms in the middle of the exhibits. If you have toddlers, do NOTgive them liquids right before visiting and make them use... More

Very pricey and very crowded. Too much $$ for the amount of time you could actually spend around the attractions and enjoy them.

We have been to many aquariums, but none so horrible as this one! The ONLY thing that was pretty cool were the tunnels of water to walk under. The problems...too many loud and very obnoxious school kids were everywhere. There was no control, not by parents, teachers or employees of the aquarium, which we never even saw! The tunnels are... We had a great time at Newport Aquarium. My wife and I are aquarium geeks. We go to a lot of aquariums and are often disappointed with the offerings. This was not the case here. My wife and I love sharks and have dove with sharks on several occasions but this was the first time we have had the opportunity... More
