The Newport Aquarium is a great place to visit! The Aquarium is priced so that it doesn't break the bank if you want to take the whole family. Parking is close by in the garage and there are quite a few restaurants near there to grab a bite after you visit the Aquarium.

We recently visited the Newport Aquarium as part of our family mini-vacation. I was surprised by the price it cost when compared to how long it takes to visit all the areas in the aquarium ($76 for a family of four - took us three hours and I was stretching it out). The facility is very nice and there are... More

I adore this aquarium. It's huge and there is lots to see. Well worth the value. I live in northern Ohio and will gladly make the drive down there to visit once and a while. The kids love it and so do the adults. It's also located in a great area with a good selection of shopping and eating to... More

This aquarium is located in the heart of Newport on the Levee, which is an entertainment/ dining and shopping area right on the Ohio River across from Cincinnati. The Newport Aquarium is really fun for kids. There are so many great displays and interesting facts that are presented. There are walkways where the sea animals swim over your head. Everyone... More

I've been to several aquariums and I must say this is one of the top! They really do have a large variety of things not only to see, but for children to do. There are several areas where you are totally surrounded by aquariums with sharks and other large fish swimming around. Another area exists where you are walking over... More

My family absolutely loves this place. We live near Chicago, and have been to the Shedd Aquarium many times. While this aquarium is much smaller, we much prefer to visit Newport Aquarium. In fact, we visited it in February 2013. In September, 2014, we drove all the way back to Cincinnati with the sold purpose of visiting this aquarium again.... More

It is really tailored for kids sub 10 years old, which is where mine fall. If you want to beat the crowds, try a weekday, or later in the day. It's a little pricey, but compared to other aquariums, it's a good value for the diversity of animals.

It's probably a 2 hour aquarium. It's not a competitor to Monterey Bay Aquarium or Georgia Aquarium, but probably the best within 3 hours of Cinci. It felt geared mostly to younger kids. It had one of the better Jelly Fish areas we've been in. 2 "petting" areas. And a very nice penguin area. Unlike most of the other aquariums... More

The special pass to be in with penguins was great, whole visit very pricey, about three times the cost of our trip to the zoo, but was worth a one time splurge.

Though the displays are awesome after about three tanks I want more information. Please update the displays and tell me more - - who is in the tank, where are they from, what do they eat, etc. I can only look at so many pretty fish before they all start looking the same. We did find a couple of docents... More
