The Newport Aquarium is a fun, family friendly environment. It one of the best family activities in the Cincinnati area.

I enjoyed my visit and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the exhibits. We spent about 90 minutes and saw just about everything. The tortoises were a highlight, as were the paddlefish.

I drove three hours to enchant myself and my wife and I would not hesitate to do it again; the perspective both above and below the water of the sea critters is a must for both young and old. Children love it, adults love it, everyone is entertained to the max and there is plenty to observe and learn. There... More

My friends and I went with a six year old girl and had a great time. The aquarium has a great variety of fish and an interesting setup to most of the rooms and exhibits. The shark petting tank was a cool experience. The jellyfish room is probably my favorite room besides the penguins. They were a fun time. This... More

I have been to many Aquariums from , KY to California . By far this is the best one I have ever been too. Loved the many walk thru tanks. You felt so at peace. I loved the Penguins and the show. Lucked out and beat the crowd. Arriving at opening worked well at this one way through aquarium. Facility was clean, and staff were personal and friendly. We back tracked later in the day and were met with crowded conditions. Strollers were banned, but this did not effect us. Many opportunities to touch creatures. Jelly fish were a personal favorite.

Like other viewers have said, it is a little pricey for what they have to offer, but they are getting ready to add more attractions. They are working on a rope bridge so you can walk over the shark tank. It makes for a close get-away to visit and I usually go about every other year. I enjoy the aquarium... More

First, the small shopping plaza attached to the aquarium is not kid or handicap friendly and is in serious decline. Many of the shops/restaurants listed on the website have closed and not been replaced. Second, the aquarium is seriously over priced for what it is. Third, on most days they do not allow strollers, no matter the number, age, or... More

The aquarium is pretty tiny, and when we went, there were a few dead sharks in with the sting rays in the petting tank. The exhibits were small for most of the animals, in my opinion. It wasn't a waste of time, I've just been to a few larger aquariums and enjoyed those a little more.
