Growing up, we looked for outdoor adventures. Many families look to just vacation at the big amusement parks now. If you still enjoy a day fishing and boating, then you'll love Kentucky Lake. Easy access from I-24 and I-69. Family fun as it should be.

Kentucky Lake is beautiful. The lake is the largest man-made lake in the U.S. At different points on the lake they have Marinas, Hotels, Campgrounds and Parks. One park had Tennis Courts, Basketball Courts and I believe their was a large Golf Course. We arrived after a recent Regatta. We saw the boats leaving. Wished we had been there to... More

I grew up in the Kentucky Lake area... and worked, as a Recreation Director, at Kenlake State Park, for seven years. I had not been back to visit this area for almost 20 years. Many things have changed, but the area is still beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately, the state parks, in the Kentucky Lake area (Kenlake, Barkley Lodge, and Kentucky... More

There's so much to do at the lake and LBL- swimming, fishing, boating, camping, bicycling...plus there's the Home Place, Elk & Bison Prairie, Nature Center...very pretty place. If you're in the area you should check it out.

Kentucky Lake is the best place to kick back and relax with friends after finals. Beautiful waters, whether the sun is shining or it's raining cats and dogs. Jet skis, pontoons, speed boats; you'll see them all. Thankfully, most of the drivers are respectful and obey safety rules.

Fantastic place for a work retreat. Accommodations were spacious with porch for each of the condo style rooms. Food was good in restaurant.

This beautiful lake is fantasic for fishing, boating, skiing, or pleasure boating. The lake is easy to navigate and is a lot of fun. We visit often and enjoy fishing, just boating, swimming and skiing and tubing.

Kentucky Lake is huge. It also connects to Lake Barkley via a canal, if you go by water, or a bridge, if you travel by land. Most of the area is dry (no alcohol sold), so buy yours before you get there, if you are so inclined. Ky Dam Village is a nice state park. It has a lodge full... More

Lake is clean and well kept. Due to all the heavy rain their is currently some areas that have lots of drift wood and various other items that have washed ashore but I'm sure it will be cleaned up soon. I was just their yesterday. Great marine and you can even rent boats if you want in addition to camping... More
