Kentucky Lake is huge. It also connects to Lake Barkley via a canal, if you go by water, or a bridge, if you travel by land. Most of the area is dry (no alcohol sold), so buy yours before you get there, if you are so inclined. Ky Dam Village is a nice state park. It has a lodge full... More

Lake is clean and well kept. Due to all the heavy rain their is currently some areas that have lots of drift wood and various other items that have washed ashore but I'm sure it will be cleaned up soon. I was just their yesterday. Great marine and you can even rent boats if you want in addition to camping... More

I grew up on this lake and there is great crappie, bass, and cat fishing all over the lake no matter where you put in at. Also there are great sand bars to swim at or any number of beaches up and down the lake.

Didn't know this existed, but a very informative guy gave us a short tour loaded with info. Worth a half hour of your time.

I have been coming here since I was a kid, so the lake holds a special place in my heart. The area & lake is absolutely beautiful. Only thing bad I would say is other than the lake, there is little to nothing else to do in the area.

There's so many great things to at Kentucky Lake and the Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area (NFS). Boating, skiing, fishing, hunting (in season) hiking, camping, off-roading, nature-watching, horseback riding. A wonderful place for a family vacation or a weekend getaway for two.

Dirty lake, dingy water, poor fishing and expensive out of state license costs makes Kentucky Lake a great place to stay far away from. Even the local gripe about the poor fishing. $40.00 each for a week fishing license-------we opted out of that expense and caught as many fish as anyone we saw fishing in the lake--not one, and we... I am a regular at Kentucky Lake. You have to check it out. The boating and fishing is amazing. Head over to Smith Bay, or visit one of the many restaurants on the water. Great place to Vacation.
