Nice atmosphere, scenic location, and great wine!

My husband and I moved to Georgetown over four years ago and discovered Equus Run right away! It is a great place to go to enjoy the wine and fellowship. From May to October there is live music every Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:30. Besides that there are concerts, dinners, mystery theatres, etc! We have become wine club members... More

After a girls weekend filled with tastings at distilleries and wineries, this was the most disappointing of all. The tasting room was nice and not crowded at all. The server, Charlie, didn't seem to know really anything about the wines. When asked the difference between two of the dry reds, he said, "It's probably made from different grapes." Ya think?!... The owner offered to give us a tour, however we declined so we could taste the wines. It seemed a bit disorganized with the wine tastings. We didn't even finish our tastings, however it was nice to have some meats, cheeses, water/soda's to purchase. We took our meat and cheese out to the deck area to rest and relax. It... More

This a quaint friendly vineyard. I have been here when I have loved the peaceful tranquility and I have also been here when I enjoyed the laughter and camaraderie of a crowd. Either way it is a pleasant way to spend a few hours in a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting. The tastings are also laid back and personalities are... More

Had three wineries on our list to visit while in the area. Never found the 1st one, #2 looked like a dump on the outside so we didn't go in, and about to give up and call it a day, we found Equus---YAY!! We had a delightful time tasting their delicious wines and chatting with the owner. All of their... More

Went out to get my new Qtr. release. We been going out to Midway since 2011. This place changes for the better every time we go out. They have completely upgraded and enlarged their tasting room. It is very roomy and can hold a lot more people than the old one. They offer a generous tasting at a reasonable price... More

I visit Lexington each year in April and the one winery I return to every time is Equus Run. It is a beautiful drive (if you avoid the interstate) and a very scenic setting when you arrive. Their wines are outstanding, especially the merlot. Leslee was the hostess for our tasting and was very knowledgeable and helpful. She even recommended... More

Took an out-of-town visitor along for my first visit to this vineyard; nice drive through Bluegrass country using Rte 60 and Rte 421 to get there. Pretty farm location, charming tasting room, staff was well-versed in recommendations, and the wines were very good! The only crimps in this visit were 1/ small children in the tasting room (4-6 yrs old)... More

Nice drive from central Lexington. Charlie was attentive and friendly. Tasted several wines and ordered three bottles. Tuxedo cat was friendly as well!

Really enjoyed the wine we sampled here, and ended up buying a few bottles. My favorite was the Bluegrass Blush, but the Kiss was pretty amazing too! Friendly service. They even have a little putting green for the kids to play on while their parents are taking care of important stuff. Recommend a visit and a drink.
