Booked the Spirit of Jefferson for a friday night dinner cruise at the last minute (wanted the Belle of Louisville but she wasn't available). Staff and entertainment were pleasant (good music), and the food was tasty. Nothing fancy... typical buffet fare.. cole slaw, potato salad, rolls, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy and, of course, fried chicken. I've seen some... More

I enjoyed the spirit of Jefferson. I am a little disappointed because i am here in town on vacation and was really looking forward to going on the belle of Louisville but they were not available until the weekend and i will be gone by then. Either was the experience was pleasant. Its a bit chilly on the boat so... More

Had a great time on the Glimmer cruise on the Spirit of Jefferson. This happens the week before the Kentucky Derby where a bunch of Balloons come down to the Riverside Park on the Louisville side and setup their balloons and fire their flames (glimmer). Very magical. It was a bit cool, so make sure to bring warm clothes if... More

Very nice excursion. Planned well and executed very nicely. Food was excellent. Tender, tasty, and juicy. Bar had whatever you wanted. Sailing was smooth and scenic. The DJ was a replacement with old jokes and was a little cheesy. But the full moon and view coming into Louisville was special.

We were in town for the derby and tried to get tickets for a dinner cruise on the Belle of Louisville but she was sold out. The ticket office (they were wonderful to deal with and a great source of information on others events, etc going on during derby week) encouraged us to book on the Jefferson so we did.... More

A beautiful boat, nice weather and friendly staff, However... The staff sees no problem with selling $100 tickets to watch an airshow and fireworks to more people than they can offer a view of either to. My concerns were dismissed with a weak "sorry" and a chuckle. I was allowed to leave very dissatisfied with no attempt made to make... More

You definetly should try it, soecially in a sunny day. Nice views from the Ohio river and Louisville cityscape. Its also a rare opportunity to see this very specific and traditional type of steam cruise.

The Belle is a beloved part of our local history, especially at Derby Festival time!To take a ride on her is a step back to a slower paced time. Sit inside or out...weather permitting...and enjoy the views along the river. Hopefully you will get to hear the calliope played while you watch the paddle wheel turn. Sit back chat and... More

The steamboat couldn't run, so we were put on the CQ Princess, which was just an ordinary yacht. There were only 4 points of interest mentioned during the entire 2 hours and only 2 of them were remotely interesting. The dinner was mediocre at best. I paid extra for a photo and bottle of champagne. We never got the photo... More

We took this, one of the last rides of the season (Spirit of Jefferson). It was beautiful out so that made the day but the commentary wasn't that informative. I would have liked more history of the river and Louisville.
