The zoo is spread out over a large area so you do not feel like there is a crowd around you. The animal seem to be well cared for. The Gorillas were a special treat. The whole family has a good time

My family and I went there on Father's Day (free admission for dads = very awesome). I was very impressed with the zoo as they had a good variety of animals and interesting exhibits. Left with wanting to comeback. Would love to ride the train next time.

This may not be the largest zoo in the United States, but it is definitely worth seeing. The polar bear exhibit, and the Gorilla Forest, are remarkable. The exhibits are well marked, the animals and tourists definitely well cared for. Drinks and meals are pricey, but that's par for any attraction where you have upkeep for animals. I loved the... It's a pleasure to know that if they can't be free, at least they are well cared for. The pens and cages are always clean and the animals are healthy and beautiful.

I'm from Ohio and I thought all zoos were the same, but the animals here were small and only had one of each..

The zoo is clean and a friendly place to take your children, we try to take our grandchildren every year at least once, sometimes more. They have a web site to check on the pricing. They sale food inside, the prices are not to bad, but you are allowed to take some things in if you would like to have... More

My wife and I spent most of the day at the Louisville Zoo and really enjoyed the animals . The exhibits were well laid out and we really liked they were sectioned by continents. Plan on doing a lot of walking but you will see everything that way. The map they provide is great and the animals all looked to... More

The lou zoo is a nice clean zoo. Takes 2-3 hours to walk. You can't go wrong with the visit. It is not typically over crowded which is nice as well.

I don't get the appeal of this zoo. The layout is confusing and I feel like we missed out on some attractions. Many of the attractions were closed or the animals were up. On the day we went, I think it was just too hot. Everyone was miserable and the animals were either put up or were laying around. I... More
