The Louisville Zoo is a great place to spend the day. Its not just for kids because us adults had a very good time also. The selection of animals was very good and you had a great view of them. It was a very enjoyable place to spend a few hours.

Always different because animal activities always different. Tour guides locals and frequent visitors - 9 and 11 years old. Very informational and opinionated animal lovers. Great facility.

Clean, fun, and a great outing. And they now serve beer. If you have small children, check out the Boo at the zoo for halloween

We usually end up going a few times a year, so we buy the membership. Boo at the Zoo is of course the kids favorite. The zoo staff do a great job at maintaining and updating the zoo over the years.

I came all the way to Lexington to find a zoo that needs to be updated. The rinos were sick, the gorilla spaces were limited and they seem to be bored and unhappy, the same thing was observed in the lion's den and other people were making comments about it. Also, the stores inside were extremely pricey and nothing interesting... More

Went around 3 on a week day and it was not too crowded and easy to get to see everything quickly. I hadn't been in several years and they have really improved this place. The new gorilla and Polar Bear exhibits are great. I had no kids with me so I didn't really get that perspective but there looked to... More

Thoroughly delighted by this zoo! Great selection of animals from all over the world. Nice exhibits. Animals seemed well-taken care of and stress free. Only improvement to experience would be to have shows posted centrally. Not much going on and had to actually go to individual exhibits to see what might be happening.

I've been a zoo member for over 25 years. The Louisville Zoo has made some great improvements over the past few years, both in the exhibits and the quality of life for the animals. But it still amazes me how many exhibits have NOT been updated in all the years I've been a zoo patron. They haven't made enough improvements... More

This zoo is well worth a visit. The animal exhibits are nice and well maintained. The grounds are well maintained. In addition to the animals there is a tiny waterpark/splash area for small kids, a ropes course, and the common train and tram rides.

I went on a field trip with my daughter's day care group and we had a wonderful day of exploration! There was plenty to see around every turn! My only disappointment was that the "shows" didn't seem to be available very often.
