This zoo has some breathtaking exhibits and you feel as if you're much closer to the animals than at other zoos. For me the Polar Bear was the most beautiful and amazing creature! The polar bear at our local zoo has died, so this was a rare chance for me and my family to see one and he was gorgeous.... More

It was your average zoo. Pretty small, not many animals. Lets be honest, kids will still love it though. But if you're from a bigger city with an amazing zoo, it probably won't beat your expectations.

This zoo is wonderful. It amazed me at how close you actually are to the animals. Our local zoo does not afford the opportunity to get anywhere near as close to the animals as this zoo does. It took us about 2 hours to go through leisurely. We went during the "twilight" time but had plenty of time to see... More

My family loves the Louisville Zoo. There are plenty of animals to see and lots of extra things to do. We have a membership and try and go once a week. My kids love the waterpark and the huge playground. If your visiting Louisville this is a great place to visit.

Pretty average zoo. It seems to be in a bad area of louisville. My kids enjoyed the animals, but they like the Cincinnati Zoo more.

I have always enjoyed the Louisville Zoo. Over the years, i think the expansion of exhibits they have made are very high quality. I also like that the zoo does special events such as the trick-or-treating, summer movie nights, etc. All at a great price. I don't like that they started charging for parking, however. I think it's unnecessary given... More

We have a zoo membership that is well worth the cost if a family of four plans to visit more than three times in a year. Parking is free for members, $5 for for non-members. In addition to lots of animals, there are also many other attractions/conveniences such as: a very nice splash park (bring a towel, sunscreen and swim... More

The cost almost deterred us from heading to the zoo with our 2 kids but we decided to splurge. We were there just before it opened & we were very glad we were. Luckily, lots of animals were out & about eating. The displays weren't crowded & we got our money's worth. By the time we left around 1PM, the... More

If you have kids then this place is probably better for you. There are things for kids to do throughout the whole park, such as playgrounds, water parks, and climbing. This zoo is still enjoyable if you don't have kids. It has the standard zoo food and refreshments, which I didn't try. They have big cats, an ape area where... More
