I walked around this area of town for a bit on a business trip. The houses were lovely, but I wish more information was easily available like plaques or something. I did enjoy that we got to go into one home someone was currently living in and she gave a great tour and gave everyone "Happy Balls" which were delicious.

Even though it was freezing and snowing, my husband and I loved wandering this cute area. The houses are unique and full of amazing architecture. There are many courtyards and the gas street lights make this area memorable. In addition, everyone in the area were super friendly and many other people had dogs. We loved walking the neighborhood. Took a side route through Old Louiksville to see the large Victoria Homes. They are beautiful and quite large.

The street has some old beautiful houses. It is good to drive 10-15 mins around and explore. Also, since it is near to university, lot of young crowd can be seen few blocks away.

I'll have to admit, I didn't get to fully enjoy the area for I arrived around 9 PM. Either way, it was beautiful old world charm. Plenty of walking space and what seems to be safe area. (Don't go walking out of Old Louisville or stopping at nearby gas stations a little ways after Old Louisville though, found myself at... More

Beautiful old homes in historic section of Louisville with many stories of haunted houses. Every October, there is the St. James Court Art Show which has some of the best artists and most unusual items I have ever seen at an art show. It is crowded and parking is a challenge, but don't miss it. Take your $$$ as there... More

Hard to tell if your in a seedy area or maybe Georgetown DC. Very interesting buildings. Worth the drive through. Not so sure about walking it .
