Old Louisville has one of the nicest collection of Victorian homes in all of the United States. Some of the streets/homes are amazing and take you back to a different era. This is where the rich and famous of Louisville went to escape the summer heat downtown. St James and Belgravia Courts are special treats. It's hard to imagine these... More

This beautiful neighborhood is an architect's dream. The beautiful mansions are so unique, historic, and I am sure most are at least one to two centuries old. Although they are mostly family residences, some are also museums on certain days. The grassy area between the homes features beautiful old trees, a gorgeous fountain, and beautiful horticulture. Parking was limited on... More

I saw this tour on Trip Advisor and thought it would be good to learn more about the history of Louisville....I never expected to have the tour given to me by the gentleman that wrote a book about the neighborhood to be the tour guide...David was awesome and the history he researched was great. The ghost stories he talked about... More

This is a very extensive and well-preserved historic neighborhood. There are walking trail maps on the website, with most of the old homes on third, fourth and fifth streets. You can get guided tours, but we were happy to just drive down the street and admire block after block of beautiful old homes, some of them quite "posh."

Old Louisville is a quaint section of town. We drove through while exploring and wouldn't recommend it for walking around. You will see signs from the interstate letting you know which exits leave you in Old Louisville. It's a nice opportunity to see the old brick architecture.

This is one of my favorite parts of the Derby Festival Half- Marathon. The lovely old homes, many three-story and most brick, are just really classy. The neighborhood parks are very attractive.

The afternoon was gorgeous, so we decided to go stroll along the several blocks that make up Old Louisville. My friend loves architecture, so I learned a lot from her as she described the different features of the homes. The gardens, and the homes, are well kept and in the least expected spot, you find some of the loveliest surprises... More

Nice area to drive through. Not very big. Enjoyed looking at the big, unique Victorian era houses. They are not the gingerbread type, as you see elsewhere.

It is beautiful down there! Loved sight seeing and took a couple walking tours to describe the architecture and history of the homes. We also did a haunted tour!

We stopped down here after touring downtown Louisville. The homes and gardens were absolutely beautiful. We walked around 3 or 4 blocks and admired the uniqueness and architecture of each home. It was like going back in time. It was such an enjoyable escape.
