Before traveling to Louisville, I was not aware of the amount of Victorian homes they have. I looked up a few self-guided walking tours on line and did one of them. I am so grateful to whomever put the walking tour together because it was a great way to see the homes and know what you are looking at. This... More

Victorian homes steeped in history. Central Park is located here where there are frequent outdoor theater productions.

Beautiful old homes, impressive architecture, and historic charm. Definitely worth a drive through, or better yet park the car and stroll around. It's a beautiful area!

Looking for things to do in Louisville while my son was at football camp. This did not dissapoint! It was like walking back in time. Gorgeous architecture! A tour of houses was going on that day, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to do that. We are definitely going back again to do the tour. We really enjoyed just... More

Go to www.oldlouisville.com and select Walking Tours of Old Louisville. There are five listed and I am looking forward to taking each one eventually. My love of Victorian mansions drew me to the 3rd Street Tour. I printed the descriptions to take with me which added tremendously to my enjoyment. Even though I think I have an eye for architecture,... More

Took our own tour and saw many home that you would not see if you took the trolley tour. Plus met some local residents who provided a bit of... More

The historic district is well worth a stroll. Beautiful buildings, lovely gardens... its a low-key way to enjoy the city.
