As I was looking up things to do in Louisville, KY one thing that kept being mentioned was the Cave Hill Cemetery. Who would even think about taking their wife and kids to a cemetery for the last day of their trip? ME! It was by far the most interesting / beautiful cemetery I've ever been to. Col. Sanders (KFC... When it comes to Cave Hill, I am somewhat biased. Family members are at rest in the cemetery. It is a well cared for cemetery with attractive grave markers. It is a great place to walk and very scenic. It is a peaceful environment and if you look at the graves you will being to understand Louisville's history. Those who... More

Beautiful cemetery. The map is a MUST & very easy to follow. The workers are all very polite & helpful. We went on a gorgeous midweek day & it was the best time to go. Getting lost is easy to be but you can find so many amazing things!!

Very pretty and peaceful Cemetery. Only thing remember to ask for a map, we didn´t and had a hard time finding what we wanted to see.

We visited some graves in March but weren't able to spend much time, but this time we spent several hours and still didn't see everything we wanted to. The monuments, history, military section and the mausoleums were absolutely unforgettable. We found even more family graves dating back to 1854 which is really exciting. It is so well maintained and to... More

Was very nice and had an enjoyable experience. We did find it a little difficult to find. It needs more directional signs. Also if you haven't been there before, stop and get a cemetery map. I

Beautiful trees and layout. If your child is collecting leaves for a school nature project, this is the place to find them!

We stopped here to check out Colonel Sanders grave, but ending up being more impressed with the wonderful statues and old tombstones in the park. It is very much like a park instead of a cemetery. If you are into photography and peaceful spaces, this is definitely worth a stop.

This was a nice ( free) attraction. The security guards were really friendly and helpful. You can view most all of it with out leaving the car so we could stay in the air conditioning and keep cool. There were so many unique tombstones to photograph. If it hadn't been so hot we could have easily spent 2 hours here... More

If you enjoy art and history allow yourself ample time to enjoy this cemetery. Upon entering the Baxter Ave. entrance, be sure to stop by the sale office and pick-up a cemetery map so you will not miss any of the highlights of this cemetery/park. As we drove thru the cemetery not only is there beautiful stone work to admire,... More
