I really enjoyed driving (and walking) around this cemetery. There are many very unique headstones and memorials here. Arrived for my visit and the rain started but, I was so impressed with everything that I continued on with my tour. I spent about two hours here and photographed many objects. I'll plan on a return here on my next Louisville... More

Very interesting place with lots of history. A few famous people are buried here, most notable being Harland Sanders. There are also some very unique headstones/monuments here. If you go to Cave Hill Cemetery's webpage, you can download a map in PDF format, which has several points of interest listed.

I have visited hundreds of cemeteries, large and small, and this is the most impressive, peaceful, historic, gorgeous one of all I have ever seen. All cemeteries should aspire to be as beautiful and well kept. Especially the spectacular headstones. I detest the newer ones who only allow the flat stones to make mowing easier. They are like the fast... More

We went to this cemetery because of the high ratings on Trip Advisor, everyone was raving about how amazing it is... and while it was okay we are questioning why everyone on here seemed to think it was so awesome. It was pretty average to us.

one of the (in my opinion) most scenic and breathtakingly beautiful cemeteries in the nation. I have family here, and there are so many notables buried beneath her soil that you will literally feel you are in the presence of some our nations finest pioneers.

A very nice afternoon at the cemetery... Leaves turning, some brilliant colors mixed in and among a national treasure.. Few people, wonderful history. The rows of headstones for service men and women, many from the civil war, was a breathtaking reminder of this great country's history...

These are the only two cemeteries I'd enjoy visiting even if I had no relatives there. The landscape is beautiful and many magnificent monuments. A good number of famous people buried here. A great place to run or walk with minimal traffic. Well worth your time.

Very nice historic cemetery. Large military section (dating back to civil war). Col. Sanders burial spot as well. Bring bread to feed the ducks in the pond.
