The bourbon trail tour made us feel Lucky in Kentucky :)

This was our first trip to Kentucky and I must say-definitely not our last. Our first full day was spent on the Mint Julep bourbon trail tour, which was the best thing we could have done! Gretchen was our tour guide and was AWESOME! She's super knowledgeable and made our entire tour group comfortable and was very engaged with everyone.... More

Lunch was in a neat historic restaurant , nice bus ride, stopped at 3 distilleries. It was raining and they all had umbrellas for the group to use.

We just got back from a "guys weekend" in Louisville, KY organized by MJT. We are five old friends (late-30's), all white collar professionals. We wanted a weekend free of stress where we could just spend time together and have fun, but not deal with crowds, complexity, or "choosing" anything but the best. MJT (and Chasta specifically) delivered in spades.... More

I really had wanted to do a private tour of 3 distilleries but ended up booking a 2-distillery public tour with Mint Julep. There were only 6 of us on this tour so it ended up being semi-private which was perfect. We visited Four Roses and Buffalo Trace and stopped for lunch at a nice inn in between. The way... More

We enjoyed the day: relaxing bus ride to Buffalo Trace, interesting tour, nice lunch, beautiful ride through horse country on the way to Woodford Reserve, then back. Woodford Reserve was much more commercial, more people, less bourbon, but tour was interesting nonetheless.

A friend and I took the public Distillery Tour to Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace. It was nice, but there wasn't much bourbon. The Woodford tour is really good, and Buffalo Trace was okay -- the history on the distillery was better than the how to make bourbon part. And you only get 1oz of bourbon at each place, which... A great way to experience the bourbon trail. Visited Buffalo trace and the Woodford distilleries. A very nice ride from Louisville with our tour director was very informative and in all a great trip. Both distilleries were very beautiful and we all learned a lot. I would recommend to anyone even if drinking bourbon is not your thing.

My wife and I won a weekend in Louisville as part of a charity auction and it included a full-day public tour of southern distilleries (in this case Barton's and Maker's Mark). I have been on many tours all over the world so I knew the routine, but Mint Julep's tour was in a class all by itself. The guide,... More

A+++ We took the Public Tours on Thursday to Maker's Mark and Jim Beam distilleries. Our tour guide helped with our special purchases and answered all the questions we had. This was one of the best overall tours I have been on. Chuck is so knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. The horses were magnificent, the lunch at the B&B wonderful! I highly recommend this tour to any horse lover or race enthusiast. Best day ever!
