As with most science centers, it's what you make of it. We had a great time with our 7 and 10 year olds. They love getting involved with the exhibits and exploring. There was helpful staff and experiments were being conducted. We spent about 2.5 hours there. It was not busy at all, which was great for our kids. There... More

I accidentally happened upon reviews made by my friends for this venue recently and was truly appalled that the same issues that I found when I visited the Science Center the last time IN 2003 still exist today! Broken and non-working interactive exhibits et al. I brought a friend from Scotland to see the museum in 2003 and I was... More

Although we'd taken school groups to the center several years ago, this was a first time visit with our grandchildren, ages five and eight. There were several interactive exhibits; however, the staff, those dressed in green lab coats, appeared to have nothing to do in order to be welcoming or adding to our experience. We also noticed that several of... More

This place doesn't know what it wants to be. On one hand, it’s a pretty basic children’s museum; on the other, it features a bunch of “adult” experiences that elementary aged children should not be exposed to. There’s a big diagram of a pen is in the bodies exhibit – which would be fine if it was cordoned off to... More

My younger cousin and I are on a mission to see as many Louisville Museums as possible and I thought with her being 9 years old the Science Center would be a good place to start. I was wrong. Neither of us like baseball but we both enjoyed the Slugger Museum at least twice as much. The biggest problem is... More

Although the museum was clean and the employees at the front desk were friendly I was highly disappointed. Very costly and most of the interactive exhibits for the children were broken or out of order. The water play in the "kid zone" was fun but something u could do yourself at home in your own tub or sink. I would... More

Nice facility although some hands on items were not working. The chemistry kitchen demonstration was fun for the kids as well as the 3D movie. Regretfully the day we went, bus loads of unruly kids in large groups made the experience not as enjoyable.

We are on vacation from St. Louis. I guess we are spoiled, because many of our family attractions are free. Our kids ages 5 & 3 had a blast. It was a nice way to let them burn off some energy and learn a few things as well. BUT, I think the prices were a little much. Also, I was... More

This is a great place for kids to do hands on learning about science. You can purchase a combo zoo and science center membership. They have a great area for younger kids too with a water table. They offer summer programs.

If you have young children and nothing else better to do on a cold winter's day, this is a great place for them to run wild. My five year old really liked it, but with the loads of kids there, it makes it hard for them to do much of anything. I didn't really get the feel of it being... More
