This is an amazing tour! It is very hands on and informative without being boring. I was amazed with the complexity behind the process. Austin is one of the best tour guides I have ever encountered. She is hilarious and quite knowledgeable.

Very large distillery on beautiful grounds. The tour was educational and a lot of fun. The drive to Maker's Mark is quite an adventure, make sure you have good directions! Take the time to dip your own bottle in their signature red wax!

Loved going to the distillery. They grounds are well kept with some original and historic buildings. The tour is a MUST. Very interesting and the tastings is well worth it, especially since you buy products there that they do not sell anywhere else. Cant wait to go back

Even if you have had enough brewery and distillery tours to last a lifetime, this is a great experience. The facility is nestled away in the Kentucky countryside, far from everywhere, including cell service. This does not deter the crowds, because there are usually tours of 25-30 at every given interval. You follow the guide around various buildings as he... More

Stopped to tour the Maker's Mark Distillery on July 23, 2014. The distillery was difficult to find but well worth the effort to do so. Got in on a tour that was just leaving the tour center. Fee of $9.00 per person very reasonable. Tour guide Mindy was very informative and knowledgeable, and at each stop of the tour asked... More

The drive into the Distillery is one of the nicest on the Bourbon Tour. As an Ambassador, I was given a special Ambassador pin upon arrival and with our timing we waited only 10 minutes for the tour. The history of the operation, it's name and direct family connection through the generations was very intriguing. The tour itself met every... More

The tour of the Maker's Mark facility was very informative - small fee of $9 per person - active military members get in free with ID. Lots of picture-taking opportunities - so bring your camera. It starts with a little history, then proceeds to the cooking and distilling facility (there are stairs in this portion of the tour) and takes... More

As many have stated, the Maker's Mark Distillery is really off the beaten path. But the ride through the countryside to get there alone is worth the visit. But once you arrive, the well groomed grounds are so inviting you'll be glad you made the trip. The tour is done very well and you even get to sample the "corn... More

One of the best tours on the KY Bourbon Trail, topped off with what I think is the tastiest bourbon. We really enjoyed the picturesque setting surrounding the distillery. Austin, our tour guide was both witty and knowledgeable. It was amazing to see how many bottles come off an assembly line where everything is done by hand. Both our daughters... More

It was very interesting to walk through the distillery facilities. They tell you about the history and present day Maker Mark. Also there was a tasting at the end of the tour. My husband dipped a bottle of Maker's Mark in the gift shop to keep as a souvenir. Alot of Fun!
