My husband and I made our 2nd trip to Maker's Mark, this time for the 2014 Handcraft Festival. We had a wonderful time, just as we did on our 1st trip to Maker's Mark in Oct. 2012. The employees are extremely helpful and friendly and the Distillery is so pleasant and pretty -- definitely worth adding to your sight-seeing trip... More

This was the best stop on the bourbon trail. As the designated driver I was more interested in the tours and grounds of each stop than the bourbon itself. This was fun and very informative. The tour guide was sweet and answered questions. I never felt rushed like at other places. I'd recommend for sure.

Of the distilleries along the bourbon trail in KY, Makers Mark is a must see. This is a pretty far drive from the others, but the trip is definitely worth it. They have a beautiful place, the buildings are all extremely clean and very nicely landscaped. The tour was excellent- they even let us taste the mash that was actively... More

Marker's Mark is out of the way but make the trip. The scenery on the drive there is worth it and if you come in from the north you can also stop at other distillers.

My wife and I visited on 4/8/14 while on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. This is one of the most history-rich stops on the Bourbon Trail with the long story of the Samuels family and the journey their product has made from a "rot gut" whiskey to one of the smoothest bourbons available. The spacious property is beautiful with its many... More

The Maker's Mark distillery was on of the nice distillery, we vitiated. If you are not a drinker it is still a very nice place to visit and spend an afternoon.

Having been a fan of Maker’s Mark for years I was excited to see the behind the scenes process and was not disappointed. The tour at $9 includes a bourbon tasting and they run for about an hour starting from 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday-Saturday and 11.30am to 3.30pm on Sunday (Mar-Dec.) The distillery grounds are a beautiful place and honestly... More

Took the whole family including two teenagers for the tour. Everyone enjoyed the 30/40 minute tour. Learned all about the process and were amazed how much they can produce in this little place. Beyond a very senic drive in from Lexington, this place is beautiful! Charm doesn't touch how neat this place is. Even the little cafe was a nice... More

The tour was excellent. The day we went, it was raining so we didn't get to walk the ground like we would have liked but it was beautiful. We learned a lot on the tour. The tour guide was very informative about how bourbon was made and how to taste the bourbon.
