It does take a long drive through the country to get to the distillery, but it is worth it once you arrive. The welcome center is very well done with interactive photographs on the wall and complimentary lemonade and coffee. After having been on Scotch distillery tours in Scotland, we were unsure of what to expect here. But we were... More

Tour is only an hour long. Gift shop has all kinds of really cool Markers Mark items. The price is very reasonable $9. You get to taste their products at the end along with a bourbon ball chocolate. Very nice experience.

One more distillery on the Bourbon Trail...the grounds here were beautiful, the tour very interesting and saw lots, but Katie was a little weak on the info, excitement and kind of boring tour guide...maybe if she had a couple swigs before the tour it would have been more fun. Loved the blown glass exhibit, the store was fun, dip your... More

Aug. 30, 2014,, taking a road trip from Indiana to Fairfield Glade, Tenn and we saw a highway sign for Maker's Mark Distillery. Made the quick decision to take the off ramp. It was a much longer drive than I was expecting, but once we arrived, it was quite a spectacle. We got there just in time for the last... More

The Ambassador tour experience is a good time. You have to register to become an ambassador, then they assign your name to a barrel. When that barrel is ready, you get an invite for a vip experience. Makers is in a beautiful part of Kentucky. Worth the drive.

We went on August 29th. This day was a little different at the distillery for a couple reasons. Firstly, they do not "make" any mash in the month of August simply because it's too hot. This offered a unique opportunity. We were able to see how deep the holding tanks actually are (12x12). Secondly, they were celebrating their employees that... More

So glad you enjoyed your visit and thank you for your patience last week! Hope you were as enthralled with the Chihuly exhibit as we have been and we appreciate you coming all the way out to see us. More

Wonderful tour and tour guide, enjoyed learning and the wonderful aroma of the bourbon. Got to dip my own bottles which is a fun thing to do and you have to do at least 2, one to drink and one to enjoy looking at. My favorite cocktail and a great attraction to visit.

We visited on August 29th. The tour was brief and difficult to understand the production process as the lines are non operational during this week. It was a bummer to miss seeing this beautiful facility in action. The grounds are spectacular and worth the trip out there. This is a walking tour with very little opportunity to sit or rest.... Our visit was impeded by construction, but we were shown the plans for the new visitor's center and the route of the new entrance road that should be a good investment for this charming experience. The tour of the distillery was a second one for me, again I found it to be a good way to experience a smaller more... More

We toured a few different Distilleries and this was one of the best. Primarily, because the facility is large, there is alot of history, and you get to dip your own bottle, which is truly the signature of Makers Mark. Because it is popular, the tour groups can be a little large. We opted to pass on the one that... More
