A very personable tour of the distillery and grounds. Tour guide made sure that everyone had a chance to ask questions and see the parts of the distillery on the tour. The grounds are beautiful and the best part of the visit is the tastings at the end. Make sure you dip a bottle (that you purchase) in the signature... More

We visited this distillery on a Friday, so we got to see them actually bottling and dipping the bottles in their distinctive wax. We learned a lot about the process and why Maker's Mark is so different, it is in a beautiful setting, and there is a cafe where you can get food. Our guide was fun and very knowledgeable... More

We were only able to go to 2 distilleries during a trip to Louisville and I am so glad we chose Makers Mark as 1 of them. It was a little more than an hours drive through beautiful Kentucky countryside. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and the tour takes you through several buildings and ends in the tasting room.... More

Of the half of the distilleries we visited this was the best one we found. Best part was the gift shop where you can hand dip your own bottle.

My favorite of all the Kentucky distilleries. Historic and in a beautiful location it was great. And our tour guide Aggie, was fantastic. Planning to go back and pick up my custom bottles of bourbon when they are ready. In about 6 years.

Maker's Mark has a fantastic property with great attention to detail and history. The entire place is beautiful with many opportunities for great photo ops. The tour provided just the right amount of information, and the chance to watch as the bottles are dipped. The tasting room is well-designed and the gift shop has many unique items. You can purchase... More

A tour of Maker's Mark distillery is a great stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. I have not been to all of the distilleries, but it is hard to imagine how they could improve upon their general tour unless they had an open bar and a bed and breakfast. First, the drive to Maker's Mark from almost any direction is... More

We went to this distillery as part of the Bourbon Trail, but even if we weren't, I would absolutely go again. The grounds are beautiful, the buildings have a warm inviting feeling, and if that weren't enough, the delicious bourbon is sure to bring us back. The tour guides are so knowledgeable about the history of both the distillery and... More

The tour was very well done. The people working there are just nice folks not stuffy, pompous and overbearing like some of the larger distilleries. Makers shows you everything from beginning to end and teaches you all about how their bourbon is made. And it is some fine bourbon, for sure. Be sure to poke around the rooms in the... More

Stopped at Maker's Mark while riding through the Bourbon Trail. Was an excellent ride--took the back roads. The property itself is very well maintained. Did not do the tour for we arrived late in the day. Did purchase a bottle and got to dip the wax. Great people and great experience!!
