It's OK

It's super fun the first time you go. I'd really like to see them add new stuff, it seems it's had the same exhibits for years.

Yes, some of the exhibits could use a paint job, but the little ones did not notice because they were having so much fun running around this very very interactive play place. There were so many different types of things that each of my grandkids had a great time - 2 yr old boy, 2 yr old girl, 4 year... More

We spent Memorial Day at the Explorium of Lexington and had a great time. My two year old loved the new Farm to Table exhibit, especially "feeding" the chickens and playing in the water exhibits. My five year old spent at least 30 minutes seeing patients at the Veterinary clinic. It is really nice to let them touch and look... More

We were passing through on our way back to Ohio and were looking for something fun to do,with our 5 & 2 year olds. I think this place was probably really nice years ago but it seems forgotten. So many displays were broken down or missing pieces. Water tables didn't work properly, the bubble room needed cleaning and someone tending... More

I was really looking forward to taking my kids here. They are 1 and 2years old. I always had a blast here as a child. However, I was very disappointed. First off, it cost our family of four almost $40 to get in. Knowing good and well that my 1 year old wouldn't do much I was disappointed I had... More

I visited here with three kids--two age eight and one age ten. They really seemed to enjoy it. The arts and craft lady was super nice to the kids and they enjoyed making their craft. I would venture a guess though that in a couple of years the activities would be too young for them. It was new though and... More

We visited on a rainy day to spend the afternoon doing something fun however it was a lot of work to entertain our little guy. The first floor is quite baby focused - we then went upstairs and they had some bugs and blocks and a few dinosaur statues. We didn't spend much time here just because it was boring.... More

I visited with a 12, 10 and 4 year old and perhaps my 4 year old enjoyed it the most for the pretend play that she could have done just about anywhere (including home) and the bubble room that made her a soapy mess. The museum was very small and most of the descent attractions involved a lot of reading... More

My husband and I took our 2 year old son while we were in town for a convention....huge mistake. $24 for 3 of us, and we were done in an hour. Poorly maintained, messy, and many broken displays. The place did not seem clean and there was not much for toddlers to do. Our son seemed to have fun, but... More

We went to Lexington for a long weekend last spring and this was one of our main destinations besides the KY horse park. Our kids were almost 7, 5 and 2 1/2 at the time and they all had a lot of fun. Everything was in good shape and working fine when we were there. There was also an art... More
