We were lucky enough to get a parking space right in front of the library. The library is pretty and nice enough. The clock is not work at this time and they are getting it fixed. There was an exhibit of local photos in the gallery.

Another great place to visit in Lexington. The city is quickly becoming our second home. We sit and enjoy the extensive library and the clock is inspiring

We participated in a game the visitor's center of Lexington has made called "Big Lex". We learned our way around the city and it was fun. If you haven't ever seen one of these clocks it's sure worth the time to do so.

Based on other reviews, we were very excited to see the pendulum on our recent trip to Lexington. We walked into the atrium and it was not moving! The person at the information desk just said "I don't know why it isn't working." There was no explanation or offer to find out or indication when it might be started again.... More

Parking was a little tough but it was neat to see the clock. Only takes a few minutes to see. After you check out the clock, take the elevator up to the 4th flour and look down at the pendulum. Also worth a look at the downtown out the 4th floor window. 4 blocks down main street is Triangle park... More

The clock is amazing and interesting for children and adults alike. There is a great little cafe on the ground floor and an outside courtyard to enjoy coffee, a salad or sandwich. The children's floor is pretty cool...lots of windows, space and enjoyment. If you get the opportunity to see a movie in their theatre, enjoy! Comfortable seats and excellant... More

It was so exciting to go see this clock. What a beautiful piece and very nicely displayed. The clock is right in the library lobby. You can take the elevator up to any of the upper floors and look down at the amazing clock. Also, be sure to look up. Very cool and unique attraction, And free, They also have... More

I certainly didn't think I'd walk into a giant pendulum swinging from the ceiling when I walked into the library. It's absolutely beautiful! Could watch it for hours and marvel at the art.

Was visiting Lexington to see friends and they brought us into the library to see the Pendulum. Very cool to see and makes you think about the earth's rotation. Was glad we stopped in to see it.
