Our fun and informative horse farm tours (approximately 3 hours in length) take you through the heart and soul of Kentucky's beautiful blue grass horse country. Drive by, see and hear the history of Calumet horse farm, home of a breeding and racing dynasty that dominated the sport of kings during the 1940s, 1950s and beyond. Step out and enjoy a walking tour of the ivy-covered grounds of historic Keeneland Race Course, home to the planet's most expensive horse auctions. Take a peek at the thoroughbred horse lifestyle as we take you behind the scenes to explore a premier thoroughbred horse farm and visit up close and personal with their famous horses. Some nice special stops on this tour. Some tours do not allow for the experience of actually touching/petting the thoroughbreds, but this outfit obviously has relationships with a few select farms which welcome it. Our guide Daniel was knowledgeable, personable and humorous! This is a great excursion for the money, and even if you're not a horse enthusiast, you will... More

I brought a group tour to the area and wanted to include a visit to the Lexington area horse farms that would allow us some "behind the scenes" access. This tour was excellent! Our tour guide, Dan, was wonderful with the group and very knowledgeable. In addition, Linda, the person we set the tour up with was also very helpful... More

We were in Lexington, Ky on our way to take my Dad to his Third Division Army Reunion. I happened to see this tour while planning our trip. It is always a concern to plan activities because he is 99 years old and nearly deaf, and we want to be sure he is safe and enjoys our activities. He was... More

I can't say much more than anyone else ... perfection is difficult to improve upon, and this tour was just that! My mom and I had 24 hours in Lexington, and we signed up for the morning tour, which began at 9am. Dan picked us up at our downtown hotel, and we were spellbound for the next 3+ hours. We... More

Our guide, Dan, loves the horse industry, Lexington, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. It's obvious! His tour is fun, interesting, and full of pride for the sport. Along the single-lane backroads that wind between the horse farms, we stopped and petted the horses, heard the history, and learned the names of the people and the horses who are king in... More

John White was our tour guide and he was excellent, giving us lots of facts about the area, etc. We had 6 couples from Illinois, traveling together, and we enjoyed the tour immensely. John even gave us a hint for a great lunch place on our way home. Thanks, John. Sincerely, LookingGlass Corvette Club
