Our fun and informative horse farm tours (approximately 3 hours in length) take you through the heart and soul of Kentucky's beautiful blue grass horse country. Drive by, see and hear the history of Calumet horse farm, home of a breeding and racing dynasty that dominated the sport of kings during the 1940s, 1950s and beyond. Step out and enjoy a walking tour of the ivy-covered grounds of historic Keeneland Race Course, home to the planet's most expensive horse auctions. Take a peek at the thoroughbred horse lifestyle as we take you behind the scenes to explore a premier thoroughbred horse farm and visit up close and personal with their famous horses. We'll even see where scenes from the major motion pictures Secretariat, Seabiscuit and Dreamer were filmed.

My wife and I were in Lexington, Ky on the 19th of October and wanted to tour some of the Horse Farms. I called several tour companies and decided to go with Thoroughbred Heritage Horse Farm Tours. Booking was very easy and the tour was exceptional. We were picked up at a Hotel in Lexington and began our tour at... More

We signed up for this tour after reading great reviews on Trip Advisor. We were NOT disappointed! Nicholas picked us up at our hotel and off we went! Saw horses " breezing" at Keenland. Went to several other horse farms. Nicholas was extremely knowledgable and we learned so much! I would recommend this tour to anyone whether you are into... More

It can be a good tour, just make sure you clearly understand what tour you're getting as we didn't. Over half of our tour was spent touring Keeneland horse race track, seeing exactly what we would have seen had we gone to the horse race track on our own. Almost all of the rest of the time, we spent driving... More

First, I want to thank James for his review. Our tours are packed with great information about thoroughbred horse racing and the farms and we make several stops during the tour including Keeneland Race Course and a couple of farms where we get out and see horses up close. It is a great tour for the majority of tourists that... More

Although my husband and I live in Lexington and enjoy visiting Keeneland during the racing season, we had never experienced a horse farm tour. After my brother and his wife from Maryland went on the Heritage Thoroughbred Horse Farm Tour, with Daniel as their guide, they were surprised to learn that we hadn't. That prompted my brother to see that... More

Our tour guide was a racehorse trainer, He provided a lot of interesting "insider" information about horses and how they are trained. At Keeneland, he explained how betting works. We got to see and pet horses in their barns and in the fields. I was surprised how calm thoroughbreds are off the track. Just beautiful animals, and beautiful countryside. The... More

My husband and I along with our four girls (ages 13,11,5,3) ALL thoroughly enjoyed this tour! It was evident right from the start that "Tour Man Dan" was not just a walking encyclopedia for the thoroughbred horse world, but he is PASSIONATE about it, and you couldn't help but catch that enthusiasm! We saw beautiful farms, and were able to... More
